AL Jackson is a new author to me and why that is I do not know. What a great read this book was; it ticked all the boxes for me and I was riveted from the first to the last page. A second chance at love story which is probably one of my favourites this year.
Jace Jacobs walked away and left Faith shattered and destroyed despite his vow that he loved her. Now he has returned when Faith is at her lowest point, struggling to keep her and her daughter Bailey safe from unknown forces.
Where do I start? This was one of those books that once I started I couldn’t put down. More Of You got to me on so many levels. It was an emotional read with plenty of danger, suspense, betrayal, intrigue and spice.
I fell in love with Jace and honestly knew that Faith would eventually forgive him, however I had no idea of the roller coaster of an emotional journey that they would have to undertake before they could get their happily ever after.
I also fell hard and fast for little Bailey, what a cutie, she almost stole the book on occasion. There was so much love, pain, suffering and regret throughout this book that it was palpable.
AL Jackson has written a beautiful love story about love, sacrifice, regret and forgiveness and one that left me with a book hangover. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series; one click now you won’t be disappointed.
More of You is a second chance romance that had me on the edge of my seat nearly all the way through the book.
It was beautifully written and a different take on the story of Beauty and the Beast.
Jace Jacobs and Faith Linbrock were childhood friends turned sweethearts. Jace was from the wrong side of the tracks when he met Faith and was the protector for his brother and cousin. He knew he wasn’t good enough for her but couldn’t keep himself away.
Faith didn’t care what other people thought of Jace. She saw the good in him and believed in him. But one day everything changed and he disappeared from her life.
Now, Jace is back and swears that he will protect Faith with every fibre of his being no matter what. Faith never thought she’d see Jace again but can’t help the feelings that he evokes in her even when she’s grieving the loss of her husband. What happens between Jace and Faith is a beautiful story and one I highly recommend reading.
