Where do I start !!! Well I guess it’s with I absolutely adored Payback I was captivated from the first page to the last line. Payback is a spin-off from the Harris Brothers but what we got in this book was not only new characters but also a chance to catch up with the loveable brothers.
Allie Harris is the cousin who has spent most of her life in the States but she is back in London for a family wedding and she is paired up with Roan DeWalt a team mate of one of the brothers, they were meant to just have some fun at the wedding but it turns into a night of steamy passion. For Allie it was meant to help get her over her cheating ex but it turns into so much more when Allie finds herself working in London as a PR rep for the football team her uncle manages and who Roan plays for. Can Roan convince Allie to take a chance on another relationship.....
Payback ticked all the boxes for me, I swooned, I laughed and at times I held my breathe in anticipation of what would happen next and once you add in the hot Harris Brothers and their partners you get one of the best books I have read this year. Roan is everything I love in a man he loves unconditionally and he cares about family and that’s a big plus with the Harris clan. I loved seeing Allie come into her own as this story unfolded and I guess all that’s left for me to say is you need to one click Payback it’s a must read!!!

I absolutely loved reading Payback by Amy Daws. 

Firstly, it’s a spin-off of her EPIC Harris Brothers series and all of the Harris clan make an appearance in this story. 

Payback is the story of Allie Harris, who is the cousin of the Harris brothers. She comes to London for a family wedding and is fixed up with one of the brothers’ fellow soccer players, Roan DeWalt. Allie has a plan to serve some much needed payback against her ex for cheating on her with her stepsister Rosalie but her plan goes awry when her night with Roan goes much further than anticipated. 

Roan DeWalt is an up and coming soccer player from South Africa. He’s trying to find his feet with the Harris clan and in London in general. When he’s asked to accompany Allie to a family wedding he thinks it’s a fantastic opportunity to get on the good side of all the Harris brothers and his team manager, Vaughan. Roan is absolutely captivated by Allie and when she disappears after their night together, he can’t seem to get her out of his head. 

The story that develops between these two is hilarious and also heartbreaking. I loved how far Allie came with her insecurities and her feelings for Roan. Roan is such a sweetheart and I loved how he never pressured Allie for more even when his feelings dictated him to do so. His loyalty to his family is beautiful to read and of course the Harris brothers never disappoint to get you laughing throughout the book. 

I highly recommend this book and I’m seriously hoping that Freya gets a book too!

Having read the other books in the Harris Brothers series I couldn’t wait to dive back into their world. This is cousin Allie Harris and Roan Dewalt’s story and oh what a story it is.

Determined to move on with her life after catching her cheating ex in a compromising act, Allie wants nothing more than payback. What could be better than a hot as hades one night stand with a sexy South African soccer player? What could possible go wrong?

Her chosen man, Roan is more of a complication than Allie realises; in fact Roan wants more.

Fast forward a couple of years and fate brings Allie and Roan dace to face again. 

There is absolutely nothing that I didn’t love about this story. Payback is everything I hoped for and so much more. 

Throw in the outrageous and often hilarious Harris brothers and of course the fabulous and feisty Vi, you just know you are in for a great read. 

I absolutely adore this family and the overwhelming love and unconditional support they gave Allie was heartwarming. It was great to see Allie emerge and blossom throughout Payback. 

Roan ticked all the boxes for me, totally swoon worthy and his unconditional love for Allie melted me. 

Payback is a fabulous addition to the series and one that I highly recommend. 

 

 Without warning, my uncle pushes open a set of double doors and leads me into a changing room full of… Naked. Soccer players. Butt naked, wet or sweaty—I can’t quite tell—soccer players. I catch sight of one guy flicking a towel at the bare ass of another, so I duck my head and shield my gaze. Good-god, if I’m caught ogling several hanging members being swung about all willy-nilly, I’ll be sure to lose my job! Be cool, Allie. Be cool. You’re one of the guys! And you’ve seen penises before! I stumble behind Vaughn, who doesn’t miss a step as he continues marching on, walking past loads more of naked soccer players positioned at their lockers. Seriously, why are they all completely naked? Don’t they get cold? I thought shrinkage was a real thing! Nothing in this room is shrunken. Shranked? Whatever…I can’t grammar right now, there’s dicks everywhere! Vaughn rounds a corner to another set of lockers and states firmly, “Here we are.” I look up just as my high heel catches on something beneath me. I make a move to extract it, but my foot hooks on to whatever it is, holding my leg hostage while my body continues propelling forward. Letting out a yelp, I brace myself for an epic tumble. But instead of falling down on the concrete flooring like I thought I would, I end up face planting into a chest. A very manly chest. A very manly, naked chest, whose pecs feel like two smooth boulders tensing beneath my twitching fingers that are currently clinging on for dear life. “Ag, careful…That bag’s a biter,” a familiar voice murmurs on the top of my head as two very large hands wrap around my waist. I look up and every organ in my body does a somersault as I stare up into the gorgeously pale brown eyes of Roan DeWalt. My one-night-stand. Who’s apparently not at all worried about shrinkage.
