I certainly enjoyed this book I would have liked the story to have carried on but it left me with a satisfying feeling..

 First time I have read this author and I will certainly continue reading her books..

Genevieve Chamblee is a new author to me but after reading Defending the Net I’m struggling to see why she hasn’t crossed my radar before now, you see this book is everything I love it’s a great hockey story and it’s M/M. This is Brighton and Gatien story and starts off with Brighton Rabalais being recruited for the Saint Anne’s Civets as the replacement for veteran goalie Gatien Glesseau, all Brighton wants to do is to play hockey he doesn’t want to get involin the politics of the game but that’s seems unavoidable with an uncle on the board of the team. The attraction between Brighton and Gatien is instant but will they be able to get past Brighton taking the job Gatien loves and will the secrets Brighton is hiding be the stumbling block......

I certainly will be looking at other books by this author as I really enjoyed her style of writing, the characters were strong, the chemistry sizzling and the storyline kept me interested. Great read.

Genevive Chamblee is a new author to me and I have no idea why that is. Defending The Net is a M/M story that was well written and engaging. The writing is strong and when time permits I will be looking to read other books by this author.

This is the story of Brighton Rabalais and the man he has been hired to replace Gatien Glesseau. What could be better than two hot as sin hockey players who clash on and off the ice?

I love hockey stories and the fact that this is also a M/M story is a total win in my opinion. Brighton has no interest in focusing on anything other than playing hockey and the very last thing he wants or needs is to be attracted to Gatien, particularly as he has been hired to replace him.

However fate works in mysterious ways and the chemistry between Brighton and Gatien is off the charts, so hot you can almost see the ice melting.

Will Gatien break down the walls that Brighton has erected or will the secrets that Brighton hold destroy them before they can begin? One click and find out.

Defending the Net is the first book by Genevieve Chamblee that I have read. I love hockey romance books and M/M romance stories and this book brings the best of both worlds! 

Brighton is a new goalie brought in the team and Gatien is the current goalie and a player that Brighton has admired so never did he think that he would be attracted to one of his idols. Brighton has been trying to figure out if he is reading Gatien’s signals wrong but it seems their attraction to each other is mutual. The conflict comes with him being brought to the team to replace Gatien, but he just wants to play the game, not the politics. 
It was an enjoyable read and I would consider reading her again.
