Princess Lenora Celeste Beatrice Arabella Pembrook had an unusual childhood. She was raised to be a Queen—the first Queen of Wessco.
It’s a big deal.
When she’s crowned at just nineteen, the beautiful young monarch is prepared to rule. She’s charming, clever, confident and cunning.
What she isn’t…is married.
It’s her advising council’s first priority. It’s what Parliament is demanding, and what her people want.
Lenora has no desire to tie herself to a man—particularly one who only wants her for her crown. But compromises must be made and royals must do their duty.
Even Queens. Especially them.
**
Years ago, Edward Langdon Richard Dorian Rourke, walked away from his title and country. Now he’s an adventurer—climbing mountains, exploring jungles, going wherever he wants, when he wants—until family devotion brings him home.
And a sacred promise keeps him there.
To Edward, the haughty, guarded little Queen is intriguing, infuriating…and utterly captivating. Wanting her just might drive him mad—or become his greatest adventure.
**
Within the cold, stone walls of the royal palace—mistrust threatens, wills clash, and an undeniable, passionate love will change the future of the monarchy forever.
Every dynasty has a beginning. Every legend starts with a story.
This is theirs.

This is the first book I have read of this series and feel it definitely can be read as a stand-alone!
I rather liked sassy Lenora, she was a lady that knew what she wanted and would put her foot down if she didnt!
When she becomes queen and it is suggested she marry, needless to say who she marries is rather surprising! However they also seem like a match made in heaven or in the palace as it should be! I loved them both. The friendship that grew and the steamy moments were sizzling!!
I loved how Edward brought excitement into Lenora's life! I especially loved how he was with her and I really loved how it ended!
I really enjoyed this magical book, the characters, the words written and the idea that maybe what goes on in a palace stays in the palace, lol!
Can’t wait to see what the author writes next!

I’m a fan of Emma Chase but for some reason this is the first book in this series I have read and I really enjoyed this magical romantic read so I would definitely say it can be read as a stand-alone. Royally Yours is a full length romance set in the 1950’s it’s about a princesses journey to taking over the throne when Leonora life is changed drastically on her 16th birthday nothing will ever be the same she goes from being a carefree princess to a girl being groomed to take over as Queen, the only good thing to come out of that fateful day was a friendship she strikes up with Thomas a boy who turns out to be the best friend she could ever hope for. What follows is a girl determined to make her own choices in life and marriage and it’s only when Thomas suggests his older brother Henry as a possible potential husband does she start to realise she needs to marry before she is forced to. What starts as a marriage of convenience turns into so much more as this couple get to know each other.
I loved the characters, I loved the storyline and I loved that this book gave me all the feels you come to expect in a great romance. Looking forward to more in this series.
