The (Half) Truth, an all-new standalone emotional romance by Leddy Harper is NOW LIVE!

From bestselling author Leddy Harper comes a sizzling romance about an aspiring young chef who may discover that the perfect recipe for love involves all accidental ingredients…
Tatum Alexander is so close to realizing her dream of becoming a sous chef she can taste it, but working at her ex-fiancé’s restaurant with his new girlfriend was never in her career plan. To save face and prove she’s moved on, Tatum cooks up a lie that she’s in a relationship with her best friend’s superhot cousin. There’s just one problem: Jason only recently moved to town, and he has no idea they’re already “dating.”
Jason’s a recovering ladies’ man who shouldn’t be on the menu, but that doesn’t mean he’s immune to Tatum’s quirky charm. Giving her lie a kernel of truth, they decide some no-strings-attached fun between the sheets can’t hurt. But as Tatum’s forced to keep making up stories to cover her original fib, she has a hard time separating what’s real and what’s fake—including her feelings for Jason.
With too many tales spun, Tatum can only watch in horror as her collection of yarns begins to unravel, leaving everyone she cares about feeling betrayed. After so many lies, will it be too late to set the record straight? And more importantly, will she be able to convince Jason there’s truth in their love?

Leddy Harper is a new author to be but that’s about to change after reading The (Half) Truth.
Tatum is looking forward to her birthday and the perfect life with her fiancé until he starts making excuses and finally dumping her on her birthday of all days. Problem is he wasn’t just her boyfriend he is also her boss and he has now employed the new girlfriend but Tatum is stronger than most and decides he will not win she will tough it out because she loves her job and her career, so what does she do to get through the day she tells a little white lie that seems to just get bigger and bigger. Jason is convinced long term dating or relationships are not for him but that was before he met Tatum....
This book is a mix of rom-com and forbidden love, it has the perfect mix of romance, passion and humour with just a hint of angst so I’m sure it will suit a wide choice of readers. This was an easy read, i giggled and I smiled and in the end I was left feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

Leddy Harper is a new author to me.
Tatum Alexander wants to be a sous chef and is trying to move on from a failed relationship.
The first lie she tells is to indicate she is now in a relationship with Jason.
Of course Jason has no idea about this fake relationship, but is up for a little action, which means her lie is half true or does it?
There were some humorous moments as Tatum is awkward and often said or did the wrong thing.
As Tatum builds lie upon lie until, she has no idea where the lies end and truth (and reality) fit in. As her lies start to fall apart, everyone feels betrayed.
I’m not a big fan of not telling the truth so reading The (Half) Truth was a little challenging at times since the book is based on an initial lie.
I really liked Jason and his family and Tatum grew on me as the story progressed.
What will happen when Tatum finally realises her feelings for Jason have become real? Will Jason believe her or have her lies ruined their chance at love and a real relationship?
I received this book in from the publisher through Netgalley.

About Leddy Harper
Leddy Harper had to use her imagination often as a child. She grew up the only girl in a house full of boys. At the age of fourteen, she decided to use that imagination and wrote her first book, and never stopped.
She often calls writing her therapy, using it as a way to deal with issues through the eyes of her characters.
She is now a mother of three girls, leaving her husband as the only man in a house full of females.
The decision to publish her first book was made as a way of showing her children to go after whatever it is they want to. Love what you do and do it well. Most importantly Leddy wanted to teach them what it means to overcome their fears.
