I love small town romance stories and this one was so incredibly enjoyable as well as entertaining that I want to find the town and live there! Too bad it’s fictional!
You can tell this book is written with heart and soul by the words and the beautiful family bond the Mancinkus clan have!
Finally we hear Larkin’s story and I just love her sass, her fire and the way she is with those around her!
She definitely hits Deacon Locke’s eye and oh holy hotness is that man especially with the way he treats Larkin!
This was such a beautiful heartwarming story that will hit you in all the feels!! Has Deacon finally found a place he can really call home? An amazing addition to this fantastic series!

Wow I was so happy to be back with the residents of Whynot and Gimme Some Sugar book 5 in the Sex and Sweet Tea Series did not disappoint because this is Juliette Poe at her best.
This is Larkin Mancinkus owner of Sweet Cakes Bakery and wanderer Deacon Locke’s story and what a sweet sexy tale they have to tell.....Deacon spends his time traveling the country on his Harley taking odd jobs to get by but as soon as he rides into Whynot he knows this town is different from any other he has spent time in and when he bumps into Larkin things really start to heat up.....
Larkin is owner of the local bakery and is up on all the gossip happening in Whynot but what sge isn’t used to is being the center of the locals gossiping and that’s exactly where she finds herself after her encounter with the handsome stranger who just rode into town......
I love everything about Whynot, I love the old residents and their gossiping, I love the new residents that come into town and find true love. This author has a way of making you feel like you are coming home to family and friends every time you pick up one of her novels. This is a must read for all lovers of small town romance so please one click this wonderful read.
This was a fun, quick read full of romance, laughter and love of family. This is Larkin Mancinkus and Deacon Locke’s story and I was captivated from the first to the last page. I really didn’t want to start this book as I believe this marks the end of the series which I have grown to love and yet once I started I couldn’t put it down.
Larkin is the owner of Sweet Cakes Bakery in town and as such is privy to most of the goings on and gossip in the small town. Ms. Poe describes Whynot in such great detail that I would love to visit. I love the idea of a small town where everyone knows you, although I think it could become invasive, which is what happens to Larkin in Gimme Some Sugar.
Deacon rides a Harley and is a free spirit, a wanderer, going wherever the road takes him, until he arrives in Whynot. Staying at the B & B that Larkin is part owner of, Deacon has never considered putting down roots until he meets Larkin. He is attracted to her even though they are total opposites, now all he has to do is convince her to go out with him. Larkin however is rather shy and has image issues and cannot understand why the hot biker would even look at her.
Deacon is totally swoon worthy and the way he cares for Larkin sent shivers down my spine; he really fits into her family with his fun and easy going manner. It was wonderful to watch the romance blossom and Larkin become more confident; Deacon was the perfect man for her.
I really love the dynamic of the Mancinkus family and I would love to be a member. The unconditional love and support that they give to one another makes for a heartwarming read that simply put, makes me smile.
