Lucky in Love is the first book by Kelly Elliott that I have had the pleasure of reading and I can definitely say, I am now a fan. I love a sweet, small town romance and this book ticked off all the boxes for me. It is the perfect combination of wonderful writing, memorable characters and a storyline that is both endearing and swoon worthy with just enough funny moments to keep me smiling all the way through.
Truitt had me laughing from page one. I have never read a story where the hot, sweet guy is so accident prone. They actually take bets in the ER when he will be back.
Saryn has moved back to her hometown with her adorable daughter, Liliana after her divorce and is starting to put her life back together. What she didn’t expect was Truitt, her brothers best friend, to be around all of the time.
Everyone else saw it, it was inevitable and they both fought it until they couldn’t deny it. They had chemistry and a mutual attraction that had been brewing years ago and now was finally their chance to have it all!

Lucky in Love was everything I expected and so much more, no one writes small town romance quite like Ms Elliott she has a knack of painting pictures with her words and she draws you in from the first page and she doesn’t let you go until you have read the last line. Her stories are always beautifully written, she gets the perfect mix of romance and humour with characters you adore and although I love every book in the Southern Bride Series for me this is the best in this great series.
Truitt Carter is a man we would all love to have waiting at home for us and now his best friends sister is back in town it’s time to let the girl he crushed on all those years ago see the man he has become. Saryn Night was his best friends sister so growing up she was off limits and before he could make his move she went and got herself married, now back home as a single mum of an adorable 3 year old called Liliana all bets are off and it’s time to cross that line.

All the feels I want in a great read.

I know when I read a Kelly Elliott book that it will be well written with characters that you cannot help but become invested in and Lucky in Love was no exception; I simply couldn’t put it down. In fact this may well be my favourite in the Southern Bride series.
I fell hard and fast for Truitt Carter, Saryn Night and an adorable little three year old called Liliana. They have history, Truitt has always had a crush on his best friend’s little sister Saryn, not knowing she felt the same way but thanks to miss communication they parted ways years ago. Now here she is back in his life trying to turn it upside down.
From the beginning you know that Truitt and Saryn belong together, there were so many swoon worthy and laugh out loud moments Truitts accident prone issues had me in stitches at times) reading this story that I felt like I had a permanent smile on my face.
The relationship he forges with Liliana melted my heart. The intense chemistry that sizzles between Truitt and Saryn was impossible to resist. I loved this couple and the friends and family that surround them made this a fabulous and entertaining read.
