I pinch his side, and he barely flinches. “You’re not supposed to say that.”

“Oh, now you did it,” I exclaim. “Now I’m going to go ask Lieth out just to spite you.”
He chuckles. “Good luck. I heard he likes to lick necks on first dates.”

First off if you don’t read this story with a scottish accent rolling around in your head…what’s wrong with you? Joke..im kidding…bit in all seriousness, with Scottish characters you cant really help yourself. I know I couldn’t.
This book had me in fits of laughter in certain parts and tears were streaming down my face.
It also made me long to travel! Everything about this book was absolutely wonderful. So much heart and soul in it. Such an amazing heartwarming and beautiful storyline that hooked me from the start. I honestly didn’t want it to end and I also am going to be using some of the words that made me laugh. You’ll know which ones when you read it. Haha!
When best friends apply for a job in a small town Scotland, Bonnie and Dakota arent quite prepared for what happens. Especially when they meet grumpy Rowan, oh boy, that man, I tell you!
The townsfolk, the small town feel and the characters definitely struck a huge chord with my emotions. A highly comedic story that also had some really touching moments that made me tear up.
An Absolutely outstanding story that makes me long to travel to Scotland even more. Thank you to the author for writing such an interesting and entertaining story that was a highlight of my week.
Hands down a definite favourite read of 2021!
