New Release: THE GEEK AND THE GHOST by Cambria Hebert

 THE GEEK AND THE GHOST

Cambria Hebert

Release Date: July 10

Meet Cambria Hebert:

Cambria Hebert is a bestselling novelist of more than fifty titles. She went to college for a bachelor’s degree, couldn’t pick a major, and ended up with a degree in cosmetology. So rest assured her characters will always have good hair.

Besides writing, Cambria loves a pumpkin spice latte, staying up late, sleeping in, and watching K drama until her eyes won’t stay open. She considers math human torture and has an irrational fear of chickens (yes, chickens). You can often find her running on the treadmill (she’d rather be eating a donut), painting her toenails (because she bites her fingernails), or walking her chihuahuas (the real bosses of the house).

Cambria has written in many genres, including new adult, sports romance, male/male romance, sci-fi, thriller, suspense, contemporary romance, and young adult. Many of her titles have been translated into foreign languages and have been the recipients of multiple awards.

I’m about thirty seconds from a toe tag and my own freezer at the mortuary when he materializes from the shadows and fights like hell to keep me breathing.

I had no idea homeless disasters like me got guardian angels—or that guardian angels punch people and smoke—but suddenly, there he is: a hero dressed all in black who ghosts me so hard I consider calling a medium.

But that would be a waste of money I don’t have.

I thought I’d never see him again, but just as I’m about to eat a bullet, he appears, using his body to protect mine. I might have swooned—okay, fine, I do but only on the inside—if it weren’t for the fact he thinks bleeding is an adequate apology for implying I’m a prostitute and running off with my heart.

Spoiler alert: It’s not.

Now the man with a PhD in vanishing, a tattoo that totally offends me, and eyes with their own force of gravity is suddenly stuck to me like glue and being wildly inconvenient about it.

And he won’t stop calling me a pipgeek. What even is that?

He insists I trust him, but I can’t trust anyone, not even my own body. Unfortunately, when the resident drug lord calls in that favor I foolishly owe, things go from bad to catastrophic with alarming enthusiasm.

On the upside, having a villain with a hero complex for a stalker means staying alive will be easy.

But not getting hurt again is a whole other story.

The Geek and the Ghost is Book 2 in The Protectors Series, and I absolutely loved it!

Rett has spent most of his life homeless, bullied, and believing nowhere is ever truly safe. Then Ghost walks into his life, and an instant connection forms that only grows stronger as the story unfolds.

Rett is such a sweetheart—kind, gentle, and fiercely protective of the people he loves. Ghost couldn’t be more different. As a government-sanctioned assassin, he lives in the shadows, but when it comes to Rett, he will protect him with his life. I loved the contrast between these two, and their chemistry was wonderful.

One of my favorite things about Ghost was his sense of humor. For someone with such a dangerous job, he had me laughing so many times throughout the book.

The secondary storyline with mob boss Enzo wanting to help the hit men added another layer of intrigue and kept the story moving at a great pace.

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and being in the hospital with stitches in my head and no way out makes me pretty desperate. So I log in to a dating app, searching for a guy willing to pretend to be my boyfriend so I can bust out of this overpriced nightmare.

But what do I get?

Accused of being a prostitute. Talk about a waste of phone minutes.

With plan A a no-go, I move on to plan B. Escape. Except, on my way to freedom, I’m nearly pummeled by a man wearing all black and with the bluest eyes I’ve ever seen.

When he pretends to be my boyfriend, I’m shook. And even more shook when I discover this is the rude guy from the app.

Turns out he’s not only rude but bossy, irritable, and he keeps calling me a walking hazard. I go along with the lie anyway, thinking I can ditch him as soon as I’m free.

Except that doesn’t happen.

I end up back at his place, eating soup and trying hard not to catch feelings.

Then my apartment is broken into, and I’m running for my life, confused, injured, and with nowhere else to go. Kieran vows to keep me safe, something he seems more than capable of…

Which is kinda odd for a real estate agent, right?

As the threat to my life intensifies, I start to wonder if I’ll make it to my next birthday and, more importantly, if trusting Kieran is the deadliest hazard of all.

Haz is pure chaos, Kieran is broody perfection, the chemistry is criminal, and I’m officially obsessed 😍

Walking disaster Haz and broody, controlling hitman Kieran could not be more opposite… and it’s absolute perfection.

This book had me laughing out loud so many times thanks to the incredible banter. Haz is chaotic, Kieran is intense, and the chemistry between them is off the charts. They’re completely obsessed with each other and so ridiculously needy in the best way.

Hilarious, addictive, and extremely well written. I loved every character — but Ghost and Rett definitely need their own book.

The way the story begins is so unique that I was hooked from the very first page.

RELEASE BLITZ - MistleFoe by Cambria Hebert

Title: MistleFoe
A Frenemies to Lovers MM Holiday Romance
Author: Cambria Hebert
Genre: MM Romance
Tropes: Frenemies to Lovers/Small Town
Holiday Romance/Forced Proximity/Opposites Attract
Release Date: December 1, 2025

BLURB

‘Tis the season for twinkling lights, cookies, joy, and a little sprinkle of mom guilt on the side. Did I say little? I mean an entire sleigh full. Which is exactly why I’m on my way home to Winterbury for the holidays, something my parents have been pleading for since I left the small-town life for a view of the city nearly ten years ago.

It’s not that I don’t come home to visit. I do.

Just not at Christmas.

The last time I was there, I got wrapped up in the romantasy of the town’s mistletoe legend, and it ruined my entire life. Okay, maybe not my entire life, but it did turn my best friend into my biggest enemy.

And maybe gave me a raging case of mistletoe PTSD.

Don’t laugh. It’s a thing.

Which is exactly why I’m going to do everything possible to avoid the raising of the mistletoe, Archer Hodge, and his Christmas tree farm. I’m just going to help my father out with the family animal clinic and mind my own business.

So of course Archer walks right into the clinic and nearly runs me over with his clompy boots, pine-scented flannel, and trademark scowl. Turns out, even after ten years, he still plucks every last nerve in my body. It doesn’t matter that he looks better than I remember and he’s cradling a beautiful dog who steals my heart.

Archer is my sworn frenemy, and no amount of forced proximity, small-town tradition, or mistletoe magic will ever change that.

Or so I thought…

This was such an endearing holiday read—light, fun, and full of Hallmark spirit , and the Christmas romance gives you all the feels.

It’s a small-town second-chance story featuring two men who can’t stop sniping at each other, a town that fully believes in mistletoe magic, and a dog who might be the smartest of them all.

All of that adds up to a cozy, relaxing read that’s perfect for boosting your holiday spirit.
See you in Winterbury, Vermont.
