An outsider can easily say, “How do women stay in abusive relationships?” They don’t understand, it starts in little ways, a slow build up, by the time you are aware, it can be too late.

This is a prequel novella to the Daddy's Girls Series.
That being said this novella isn't anything like the series. This shows you how Dina and Michael meet, became boyfriend/girlfriend. It shows us the side of Michael the Maggie, Brayden and Ryder hated.
Chelsea stated in the beginning of this novella Broken. Battered. Not defeated. This is not a pretty story, wrapped in a nice package. This is a real story.
Reading that statement and then reading this novella I have to pat her on her back. I am not sure if I could write down all the bad and ugly I have lived through. Yes we as people will say "how can she stay with him if he beats her?" We as people don't understand that is it hard for a woman to leave the person who has put them down one minute and tell her he loves her the next. This happened to Dina. It started all sweet and it ended in hell. I don't want to give to much away. But this is an emotional read. If you have lived this life it will bring back memories you wished you could forget.
I would recommend you read this before you read book 1 Restore My Heart which is Ryder's and Dina's story. There are a few parts of this novella that you see in Restore My Heart. After reading this novella and then reading RMH you will understand the book a whole lot more.
