Full Throttle (Daddy's Girls #2) by Chelsea Cameron

High school sweethearts manage to make it through college into the working world still together and going strong. From the start of their relationship Jake has made very clear his apprehension to marriage. Kenna understood going into this nine years ago that with Jake there would never be a ring or white dress.

Now seeing their friends so eager to make such a serious commitment in their own relationships a crack begins to form in Jake and Kenna’s once solid foundation.

Will Kenna ever open up and share her dreams with Jake? Can Jake overcome his childhood issues? Is Kenna willing to accept things just as they are forever? Will her desire for a more serious commitment make her change her feelings for her one love?Is Jake enough alone or does Kenna demand more than he can give? Can they move forward full throttle into their future together?

My Review:

5 Stars

Full Throttle is Jake and Kenna's story.
They were high school sweat hearts. Some where along the way they get lost in the thoughts of being married is all that mattered. Jake's fear of divorce kept him at bay from ever proposing to Kenna.
Jake and Kenna have been together for what seemed like forever. Everyone thought they were married. Shoot they bought a house together. Kenna knew Jake never wanted to get married but she still wanted it all. As their friends around them fall more in love with their partner and get married it feels like the pressure was on. Jake had the ring but his fear consumed him.
Some how Jake and Kenna veer off their path. They say they love one another but they can't seem to find that right link to where and how they use to be. I mean I can understand where Jake is coming from. Being married is hard work. Who isn't afraid of divorce? But when you know you are with that 1 person and everything feels right. Then take that plunge. Like Kenna said it is a piece of paper but to most people it means more. To her it did.
Finally Jake and Kenna seem to get their head's straightened out. Kenna realizes she is OK not being married to Jake but just being with him. Jake on the other hand different plans. What are these plans? Hmmm not going to say. You will have to find out for yourself. I laughed and cried reading Full Throttle. I would so recommend this book to people. Thank you Chelsea for making laugh, and cry and making me remember that marriage isn't just about the ring and piece of paper. It is about love, communication, trust and above all one another.
