MY REVIEW:
I have to say it took me a minute to get into this book. Not
sure what my problem was. I am glad I stuck to it though.
In never close enough we meet Ella who caught her boyfriend
having sex with another woman in their bedroom on her birthday. Her instinct
was to run and that is what she did. She ran, well actually drove to the beach.
Ella waited to take this mini vacation on her birthday. She
owns a store and had to take the time off.
See her and her boyfriend had plans for a week long getaway
at the beach. Her bags were packed already for her to go. Once she saw that
horrible sight in her bedroom. She high tailed it out of there and went right
to the beach.
She stopped at a bar to take a rest and get something to
eat. She met Tilly and her son Porter. Let me tell you Porter is sex on a stick
hot. Porter had a hard time admitting he had feeling for Ella. He wasn’t sure
if it was too soon to actually have feelings for someone, someone you just met.
See when Ella went into the bar she left her car lights on. It drained her
battery. It had been raining out and she just needed to settle herself. Porter
gave her a ride to her house that she was renting out. There was chemistry
between them but they fought it off.
I have to say they hit it off right away. Their
conversations flowed freely, they laughed with one another. Porter knew Ella
was it for him. Ella on the other hand had a hard time coming to terms that she
just broke up with her boyfriend of 4 yrs and moved onto another relationship. They did kind of move fast but when 2 ppl
love each other you tend to do that.
When Ella’s week was up, and it was time for her to return
home. They made a promise that they would call, text and see each other. When
Ella reached her apartment her ex-boyfriend was there and they got into a
scuffle. She escaped him and went to her store. At the store she called Porter
and he was on his way to her. Little did he know that when he would reach her,
he would lose her in a way! I have to say the closer I got the end of this
book. I could see the ending. I wanted to throw my kindle and scream at the top
of my lungs NO!!! I can’t wait for the next book to see what in the world
happens.
