Heights of Desire has the makings of a good book. It has drama! You have Kate who I think was having a midlife crisis. She one day saw this guy at a park on her way to ballet with her 2 daughters and fell in love with him. I am not saying it can't happen because the first day I met my husband I said to myself of course "where have you been all my life?" I was only 19 at the time too. But back to Kate. She was rich, she came from money. Jaylee is totally opposite of Kate. He lives with his mom, grandma and sister. I mean I can understand if you are still in school and need a place to stay but a 23 yr old who acts like a teenager and run the streets needs to move out. These 2 have like an instant connection. The buzz between them is so great that it will shock them. The sexual frustration is gahhh, I wanted to yell "get it over with already will ya!" I have to say it seemed like Jaylee was out to get himself some. When they did have sex it was rough, hard, and lacking something. Kate wanted compassion from Jaylee and he never really gave that to her until the end. I swear there were signs all over that they should not be together. They fought those signs and by the time the book ended you want to throw you reading devise. I have to warn you though there is a cliffhanger. So you are 1 of those readers who do not like cliffhangers then wait until the next book comes out. But if you just can't wait that long, don't say I didn't warn you. Yes I would and did recommend this book to my friends. You have to meet Kate the Great and Jaylee for yourself.
