I love Nicole Edward’s ability to write incredibly
HOT erotic books.
The novella ‘Boots Optional’ is the beginning of her new series ‘Dead Heat
Ranch’ and such a great introduction. We
meet the Lambert family that own the ranch and some of the workers, aka
“Cowboys”!!!!
It
did not disappoint me in any way. I thought the chemistry between Grace, Grant
& Lane was off the charts….their sexual energy just leapt off the pages. The way Grace tried to stay away from them was
funny…but in the end attraction and desire is what leads them all together,
something that in Lane & Grants case, has been that way for 2 years…their
competition to try & get a date with Grace, never happened…till now!!
I then started Betting on Grace, the whole
first Chapter…OH MY!!!! I literally needed a fan to cool me down….it was
getting “Hot in here”…lol.
This book was so enthralling, the story
line, the characters all made this book so great to read. I loved Grace’s
family, her father Jerry, her sisters, the cowboys, especially Lane & Grant.
Then we had the chance to meet some of the guest’s on the Ranch!!
Grace’s sister Mercy was such a great character,
she was brilliant and somewhat sneaky and I look forward to hearing more about
her!!
I loved the fact that Gracie, Grant &
Lane finally opened up to each other in many ways not just sexual. Grant,
especially!! He is not used to being
loved and for 2 people to care as much as they do to help him in a family
matter, you had to really feel for him, I know I did. At one point in the story I shed some tears
because the emotions everyone was feeling was so raw and I just couldn’t help
it.
I especially loved when Gracie told her
father what was happening with Grant & Lane…all 3 of them were all so
worried how her father may react…but in the end….what matters most was the way
they felt for each other.
I
literally wanted to be there at the ranch, a part of everything….its how I felt
while reading such an incredibly well written story!!!
Well done Nicole, yet another amazing story
from your incredible talent as a writer.
