Sing For Me by Gracie Madison
Publication date: January 23rd 2015
Genres: New Adult, Paranormal Romance
Madeline Noel fled war-torn Heaven to hide within the mortal world, but the blessing that could protect her from evil is the holy realm’s forbidden power.
As a talented soprano for the Eden Theatre Company, Madeline hides among prima donnas and tone-deaf flutists. Her perfect voice may entertain audiences, but a careless laugh may shatter glass, and her greatest scream can kill. To control her unrestrained voice, the angels forbid Madeline from embracing the emotions that strengthen her song. Anger. Fear.
Love.
The demon-hunter Damascus vows to defend Madeline from Hell’s relentless evil, but he cannot protect her from her own feelings. Though they deny their dangerous attraction, her guardian becomes her greatest temptation.
Surrendering to desire may awaken the gift suppressed within Madeline’s soul, and neither Heaven nor Hell will allow such absolute power to exist.

AUTHOR BIO:
Gracie Madison would spend every day, all day writing…if it were socially acceptable. Ever since she was a little girl scribbling with a crayon, Gracie’s dedicated herself to her books and all the supernatural and paranormal, creepy and beautiful stories and characters born within the pages. Now Gracie is committed to finally sharing those books with the world. When the laptop is pried from her hands, Gracie is probably working her day job, rooting on the Steelers, or out with her husband searching for Pittsburgh’s best sushi.

I have to admit, this post was a challenge for me. I love music, and Sing For Me is entirely about music, but when write, I listen to one song on loop for the entire time I write that novel. It…does get a little repetitive, I’ll admit. So, to expand my horizons, I’ve found a new set of songs that I think work perfectly for the Sing For Me Experience.
Sing For Me Playlist Via Spotify - Sing For Me Playlist
Queen Of the Night Aria – Mozart - First and foremost, Sing For Me is set in an opera, and
Madeline, the main character, is the supporting soprano. This is the aria referenced throughout
the story. If you give a listen, you might recognize it. It’s a commonly referenced song.
Wicked Games – Christ Issaks – The quintessential song of reluctant love, perfect for my
lovelorn Madeline and her stoic Damascus
Cry With A Smile – After Forever - A good song to represent how stoic and emotionless
Madeline must remain to control the power infused within her voice.
Don’t Cry – Guns N Roses – The song I listened to on loop while I wrote Sing For Me.
Just…perfect for the story.
Shatter Me – Lindsay Stirling/Lizzy Hale – A great song that captures just how frustrated
Madeline becomes constantly suppressing her emotions.
Descent Of The Archangel – Kamelot – My villain’s song, muahaha!
Let It Be – The Beatles – One of the songs the cast and crew sing during karaoke
Forever Yours – Nightwish – A really emotional song that captures Madeline’s longing for her
lifelong love, Damascus. *Not on Spotify, YouTube link
My Heart Is Broken – Evanescence – A great mourning song for when Madeline and Damascus
are separated.
It’s My Life – Bon Jovi – This song represents the beginning of Madeline’s rebellion…and it’s one of my favorites of all time ;)
Stand My Ground – Within Temptation – A perfect song for the moment Madeline decides to
stop waiting to be rescued and end the danger herself.
Roar – Katy Perry – Just an awesome, kick-butt anthem that is perfect for Madeline’s ascent to
power.
Prayer of the Refugee – Rise Against – If the aria doesn’t represent Sing For Me, this song would
be perfect!
