Grind is the second book in this Legal Affairs trilogy (Cal and Macy’s Story) and is releasing on 4/21/15. Clash was released on 4/7/15 and Yield will be released on 5/5/15. Grind and Yield are full length novels, while Clash is a novella.

I received this ARC for an honest review.

This is book 2 in the series and I was anxious to pick up where the first book Clash left off. I wasn't disappointed.  This book is even hotter than the last one. In fact I would go so far as to say, having read this on my way home from work, that I would recommend having a shower nearby, so that you can jump in and cool off. It is that hot.

I love how Cal and Macy’s non-relationship continues to grow. Whenever they get together, they just seem to explode and the sex is mind blowing. In Grind, we begin to get a picture of the sadness and hurt that Macy is determined to hide.  We also see Cal’s protective instincts come out. He is determined to find out Macy’s secrets and rescue her. Whilst Macy is just as determined to ensure he doesn't.

Cal and Macy both push each other to move out of their comfort zones and there is certainly a scene in Grind that I didn't see coming but thoroughly enjoyed. It was sizzling, steamy and quite frankly, hot.

A scene that I thoroughly enjoyed was when Matt comes to Cal to tell him he saw them together. They end up having a conversation that reminded Cal of the old days. It is then that he again realizes how much he misses having Matt as his best friend.

Unlike Macy’s family, Cal has integrity and honor. From comments made by Macy he has begun to glimpse that Macy’s life and her relationship with her family is far from healthy. In fact I believe that in the final installment, we will be shocked by what Sawyer Bennett reveals about Macy’s past.

As with the first book, this one ends on a cliff-hanger too and the only negative (and it isn't really a negative) I can find with these stories are that they are short. I didn't want this one to end and yet I cannot wait for the conclusion which is due in May.

Whoa! After finishing the 2nd book in this series I am in need of a cold shower! Really! Lol I loved the way Cal and Macy were in this! Cal is charming, incredibly thoughtful and yet a beast in the bedroom!!! Macy still has secrets and I feel like she is coming a bit out of her shell with Cal! When they get together well it's nothing short of explosive IMO!! Their sexual chemistry is off the charts and I especially love the way they are with their friends Mac and Matt! The way things happen in this book will make you shed tears and laugh too but also feel an incredible sadness at what may be going on with Macy and what her past may hold! I'm dying to know more! Bring on yield the next and final book in this series!!
