Review by Irene: Brother Roommate by Wendi Lynn

***THIS IS NOT IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM A STEP-BROTHER BOOK***

Logan's marriage crashed and burned after the birth of his twin daughters. An absent mother left the girls disrespectful and looking for the wrong kind of attention at only thirteen years old. He knows something has to change and when he meets the wife of a friend and sees the well-behaved children she has successfully raised, Logan wonders if he can find another woman like her.
Ashton and Derrick are happily married with four kids. Things were good, and they bought a large house which required an even larger mortgage. When Ashton loses her job and suddenly their cushy lifestyle is shattered, they struggle to make ends meet.
As if things couldn't get worse for Logan who battles for custody of his girls, his apartment floods leaving him nowhere to go and a judge that needs to see him living a stable life. That's when Derrick suggests he move in and with it a proposition so strange, it just might work.

But will they be able to do it, or will they successfully tear the families apart?

Wendi Lynn lives in Arizona with her husband, three daughters, and her dog, Dexter. While she can't stand the heat of the state, air conditioning keeps her living in the desert. She has been writing and reading since the day she understood how and uses writing as a coping mechanism for anxiety.

I went into this book thinking there were going to be 2 brothers fighting over a woman, boy was I wrong.

Logan and Derrick are co-workers who become best friends. We all know that when people are best friends they tend to call each other brother's or sister's that is always how it goes. well in this book they really didn't call each other brother, although Derrick and Ashton's kids called Logan uncle.

Logan who has teenage twin daughters had some damage at their apartment. Instead of going to a hotel they went to live with Derrick and Ashton. The reason? Well....they needed help and Logan was the answer.

As the months went on with Logan and his daughters living with Derrick and Ashton they did become 1 big family. Ashton taking charge of everything in the house. She became a mother to Logan's daughters. The attraction between Logan and Ashton became so thick the they slipped a little. Derrick found out and was mad at first but came up with a solution.

I really hated Ashton's parents. They are the rich snobby type who like to control everything. Right to the point where if you don't do what they say they will drag you down and drowned you in a sink hole. I wanted to jump in the book and smack her mom so bad it wasn't funny.

Derrick at some point seemed like he was up to something I don't know. Things were not adding up. When Ashton asked it felt like he was coming up with excuses.

There is romance, there is comedy, there is mystery, there is suspense. How is there suspense? Well just waiting to see how things would unfold between the 3 was putting me on edge. Mystery because Derrick seemed to get himself into something wicked....Mystery.....oh well for that part you will have to read the book.

You will not be disappointed with this book. They are all none related by blood or even marriage. So no step brother romance here. The story was even flowed, well written and just fantastic in my book. I can't wait for the next installment. Is June here yet??
