Since I was a little girl, I've been in love with books and storytelling. One of my fondest memories as a child, is spending hours in a cafe or restaurant with my mum, people-watching and making up interesting stories about their lives.
Now I'm all grown up. I married a beautiful man, raising two wonderful children together while balancing a career in finance. Yes, I'm living my very own happily ever after!
But the love of storytelling never left me. So I put my fingers to keyboard and started my journey. Now, I'm about to publish my very first novel, with the second and last book of the series all done and just waiting to be tweaked. And did I mention I have a whole stack of other book ideas waiting to be written?
I'm excited, I hope you will be too! :)

I
received this ARC for an honest review....
I
met this author at the Sydney Author Event in November and she asked me if I
would be interested in reading and reviewing her books. I am delighted that I
agreed. I was pleasantly surprised by this author and her debut novel.
This
is the story of multi-millionaire Magnus Grant and Isabelle (call me Billie)
Morrison. Billie is a hard working single mum working 2 jobs just to make ends
meet. Magnus frequents the restaurant where she works at night. Billie gains
his attention when he first meets her whilst conducting a business dinner
meeting. He makes an impression on her immediately, possibly due to the
$1000.00 tip he leaves her. Then coincidentally Billie finds herself temping
for his company.
Their
connection is immediate. Magnus is extremely wealthy, dominant and determined
to get what he wants. What he wants is Billie! Billie on the other hand has
been hurt in the past and has issues that she needs to overcome, although as
soon as she is close to Magnus they do seem to disappear. Their romance is
rocky and I will say that this book ends with a cliff hanger. Normally I am not
a big fan of these, but in this case I believe it was justified.
There
are plenty of sex scenes throughout the book along with suspense and intrigue.
The characters and plot are interesting and it kept me invested. I didn't want
to put the book down. It left me wanting more and that is always a good sign.
Luckily for me I was also gifted the second and final book in the series, so I
was able to continue on with their story without having to wait.
As
a debut novel I felt that E.S. Maria did a great job and I look forward to
reading her other books.
