Cover Design: Melchelle Designs
Synopsis
Not afraid to speak his mind or make a scene, Nathaniel Kelly has made a name for himself as country music’s ultimate bad boy.
Covered in tattoos, singing songs about drugs, drinking and heartache, Nate acts more like an out of control rock star than the grandson of one of the genres most influential and legendary stars. Every man wants to be him. Every woman wants just one night with the hard-rocking country rebel.
Except me. I just want to know that the boy I used to love is happy and that I didn’t break his heart in vain. That’s why I buy every magazine that even mentions his name; at least, that’s the story I tell myself.
When my friends gave me a birthday present any fan would die for, I was suddenly face-to-face with the man I never thought I’d see again. My body wasn’t supposed to react to him the way it did. And, Nate sure as hell wasn’t supposed to look at me the way he used to.
Can someone you loved as a teenager really have a hold on your heart twelve years later? Is it ever too late to say you’re sorry and make up for past wrongs? I’m about to find out.

Excerpt
“I told the reporter that I had a girlfriend. And just so we’re all on the same page, that’s you. You’re my girlfriend.”
“Oh, really? Aren’t you supposed to ask me or something? I mean, if we’re going to act twelve, we should go all out.”
“Baby girl, I’m Nate Kelly. You should just be on your knees, thanking God right now that you get to call yourself my girlfriend.”
“I’m concerned about your lack of self-esteem. You really need to learn how to love yourself despite all your flaws.”
“Okay, smartass. I’ve gotta go. I’ll call you later.”
“Bye, boyfriend.”
I laughed as I hung up, turning to find Rebel and Boone staring at me. “Girlfriend?” the latter choked out around a laugh. Charlie “Boone” Boone, could play anything with keys and the way he played the piano made people stop and listen. But he was an ass that would cling to whatever weakness he could find. “Did I just hear you say the word girlfriend?”

I
received this ARC for an honest review. This was a new author to me and I am
thrilled to have found the talented Carina Adams. Ultimately this is the story
of a second chance at love. Neil (Nate) and Lia are high school sweethearts. Torn
apart by miss understandings and stubbornness. Nate becomes a top selling
Country singer and Lia a teacher. Forever Red is told in the POV of both Lia
and Nate which I have to say was very interesting.
Fast
forward 12 years or so and Cee Cee, as Lia is now called, is given the surprise
birthday present from her 3 closest friends of tickets to see her favourite
country singer, Nate Kelly. They have no idea of the previous history between
these two and what plays out is a roller coaster of a reunion.
Unbeknownst
to Lia, Nate searched for her for a long time, almost destroying himself with
the pain of his loss only to be thwarted at every turn. What Nate doesn’t know
is that his head of security (Mike) has kept in touch with Lia throughout the
years.
This
book evoked a myriad of emotions in me as I read it. I laughed, I cried, I
screamed, I wanted to butt heads together in various combinations throughout
the book. Ms. Adams created a story
within a story, with so many layers, I felt I just wanted to dig in and ignore
everything else till I finished.
Forever
Red is to me ultimately a story of young love and what can happen when fate
takes a hand and a second chance at happiness is given the opportunity to flourish.
I loved how Nate and Lia worked through the issues that tore them apart,
although at times I did wonder if they would get their HEA. Interference by
friends and his family ensured the path to a reunion was not smooth but I was
thrilled with hoe Carina Adams wove her tale together.
I
am hopeful that this is the beginning of a series which I will happily read and
recommend. I know that the author has said that Mike’s story is next so fingers
crossed she continues with many of the characters mentioned throughout the book.

I really enjoyed reading this book! The synopsis sounded intriguing! I enjoyed the characters and I thought the dual POV's was great! Hearing both Cecilia and Neil's views on what went on really made this book a wonderful love story that makes you believe in second chances!
We hear about how they met, what went on during high school and how they drifted apart! Seeing someone again after so many years would have to be difficult for anyone and the fact that their love never died just shows that some people are just meant to be together! We get to understand how things happened the way they did and how they get on now! I look forward to reading more especially if we get a book about Mike!!Thanks for a great read Carina
5 Star Review
I was given this ARC for a honest review
Wow ..What can I say this book has it all .....
This book is told in 2 POV's and it covers teenage years where we get to know the main characters and then takes us to there present adult life.
Neil/Nate Kelly is new to town and when he arrives at the local high school he only has eyes for Lia. The only problem is Lia has motives of her own but that is all about to change as she gets to know the hunky Neil/Nate. As with all high schools we have drama, we have girls who are meant to be our best friends and girls who are mean as hell, we have love, romance and heartbreak. Then we have The Graduation Dinner and everything changes and everyone moves on.......
Move on to part 2 which is 12 years on ......
Neil is now Nate Kelly one of countries hottest, sexiest stars with a badass attitude to go with his tattoo's and piercings.
Its Lia's 30th birthday and her friends get her VIP tickets to meet Nate and his band, what they don't know is the history Lia and Nate share.
Does love really get second chances and can these two get over the past ....
This book has not only 2 characters that have chemistry it also has some amazing secondary characters in the best friends and members of the band , which I hope means this wont be the only book that Carina writes about this group.
look forward to more from this author.
