This series is one of my all-time favorites and I have to say that when I see the name Cherise
Sinclair, it is an automatic purchase. This book was totally brilliant, from start to finish. I didn’t want
to put it down and was so annoyed when real life conspired to stop me from reading it in one session.
I am uncertain if my review can do this book justice.
I have always loved the characters that Ms. Sinclair writes about, the way she develops and layers
them and her story lines are amazing, none more so than in Servicing The Target. Every book I have
read by Cherise Sinclair has touched my soul in one way or another; in fact I am certain that this is
my favorite in the series to date.
I fell in love with Ben and Anne, individually and as a couple. I do believe they may well be the most awesome Shadowlands couple ever. There I said it; I love the Domme’s book even more than all the
others. How surprised am I? I have always enjoyed the BDSM genre, in fact I totally love it and to
me no one does this genre as well as Cherise Sinclair, but a book about a seemingly hard lined Domme? I wasn’t totally sure that this would be a book I would enjoy. How wrong could I be?
Ms. Sinclair allowed the multiple facets of Mistress Anne to shine throughout the book. We got to see the tough, totally in controlled Mistress, protective, caring and then we also got to know the
vulnerable woman who falls in love with “my tiger” Benjamin.
Ben has been on the outskirts of the series forever, he is the club’s security guard, a job he takes very
seriously. But Ben, like Anne has many facets. He is a retired Ranger, a former sniper and a well
know photographer, Alpha and very vanilla (or so he believes).
When Anne is injured at her job and accidentally mixes pain killers and alcohol with disastrous
results, Ben drives her home and so the dance starts. He is also totally intrigued by the beautiful
Mistress Anne and in payment he asks for a kiss.
Everyone knows that Mistress Anne takes slaves (not submissives) and although Bern comes to
realize that he loves to submit to her in the bedroom, he really struggles when he tries to make himself into her perfect slave. Their journey is one of self-discovery, desire, mind blowing sex, heartache,
miss communication, pain and ultimately love.
Throw in a new baby, an engagement, catching up on the other couples from the Shadowlands and it
is a win for all. However this book is all about Anne and Ben, and together they rock. Not only is the
sex scorching but the tender moments between the Mistress and her extremely Alpha submissive just
about melted me.
Thank you Cherise Sinclair for yet another masterpiece, it was superbly written and I LOVED it.
