Reviews by Jackie & Marina: Nuts by Alice Clayton

From New York Times bestselling author Alice Clayton, the first in a brand-new romance series telling the humorously sexy tale of Roxie, a private chef who gets a taste of love—but is it to stay, or to go?

After losing almost all of her clients in one fell swoop following an accident involving whipped cream, private chef to Hollywood’s elite Roxie Callahan gets a call from her flighty mother, saying she’s needed home in upstate New York to run the family diner. Once she's back in the Hudson Valley, local organic farmer Leo delivers Roxie a lovely bunch of walnuts, and soon sparks—and clothing—begin to fly. Leo believes that everything worth doing is worth doing slowly…and how! But will Roxie stay upstate, or will the lure of West Coast redemption tempt her back to Tinseltown?

I was given a Paperback copy by Simon & Schuster Au for an honest review.

This is the start of a new series from Alice Clayton and what can I say apart from great job. Every book I have read by Alice makes me smile and laugh out loud and sometimes that's just what we need...
As usual the characters are easy to love, we have Roxie private chef to the stars and Leo a farmer from her small home town.
Roxie is home helping out in the family diner and has no plans to stay in the small New York town,
Leo has no plans to move from his home in that small New York town .....
There is no doubting the chemistry these characters have and sparks flew from the moment they met but what will happen at the end of the summer ...... Change can be scary but it can also be fun ....
Alice Clayton has given us yet another fantastic read that will leave you smiling, its a fun book with a sassy heroine and a sexy hero. Roxie and Leo together will make you laugh
This book left me with not only a smile on my face but it left me feeling good as well, what more can you ask from a book.

4.5 stars
There is just something about Alice's books that make you want to dive right in and read a book of hers and not stop till you finish!
Her books have humor, descriptive scenery and heat! As in hotness and sizzling moments between characters!
This book was certainly all that rolled into one!! I loved Roxie!! They way she took care of things when going back home and running the family diner! While her mum went off on an adventure!
Enter Leo! Oh my!! The hot farmer supplying the diner!
When Roxie and Leo meet, there is an attraction, there is heat, there are secrets and some rather funny moments too! I really enjoyed reading Nuts! It was a refreshing and extremely enjoyable story. I also loved some of the other characters too, namely Chad! Honestly had a smile on my face whilst reading this book! Can't wait to see what the next one in this series holds!

Paperback copy received from Simon & Schuster Australia for an honest review.

New York Times Best Selling author ALICE CLAYTON worked in the cosmetics industry for over a decade before picking up a pen (read: laptop).

She enjoys gardening but not weeding, baking but not cleaning up, and has finally convinced her long-time boyfriend to marry her.

Now, about that Bernese Mountain dog.
