The Teach Me series starts off with the story of Raine and Mac, the most unlikely of best friends…
Taken from his parents and bounced from one foster home to the next, former Navy SEAL turned math teacher, Callum "Mac" Mackenzie had a rough childhood. The only time he's let himself get attached to anyone has been with his military "brothers". He's convinced he doesn't know how to love and certainly doesn't "do" relationships. He's spent fourteen years in the Navy and now he gets to live out his other dream: teaching.
Her thirtieth birthday fast approaching, science teacher, Raine Thompson feels as if her time to find "the one" is running out. She knows life is short, especially after dealing with breast cancer two years ago, and wants to experience her own happily ever after. But is it in the cards for her?
Finally acting on the simmering attraction they have long ignored, Raine and Mac decide to have a fling and they discover what it's like to have someone who knows you inside out also be the one who makes your body come alive.
But it was only temporary…

Callum 'Mac' Mackenzie is a former Navy Seal who has faced tragedies in both his youth and his years of service. Mac has always wanted to teach and make a difference in the lives of others. However, on a personal level he never felt he was good enough to actually have a loving relationship with a woman.
Raine Thompson is also a passionate teacher, who loves her job and her amazing group of friends. Yet, she feels as though she'll never find 'the one'. Raine has had a troubled past with bad relationships and worries that maybe she's not meant to find love.
Raine and Mac become close friends and both find themselves fighting the attraction they feel for one another.
Boldt does an outstanding job of creating a storyline and characters that have you wanting to keep reading until the very end. I loved the primary characters as well as the great mix of secondary characters that create a group of true friendship.
This is one of those books that will catch you by surprise and leave you wanting more ! Absolutely loved.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is the story of Callum (Mac) Mackenzie, a former Navy Seal and Raine Thompson, both teachers at the same middle school. This is a friends’ to lovers story and one that I really enjoyed.
The attraction between the two is almost instantaneous; although both are warned off each other by mutual friends it was interesting to see the dynamic amongst this crazy group of teachers. In fact I would say that all the secondary characters were just as interesting to read about as Mac and Raine.
Mac is determined to stay relationship free, whilst Raine, who has been unlucky in love, numerous times, wants a relationship. Mac comes from the foster child system and has learnt not to love anyone as they either leave or die. Raine has had a traumatic past and is a breast cancer survivor. It made for an interesting read as they began what was supposed to be a one-time fling. Of course this was not meant to be a one-time only fling and the development of Mac and Raine’s relationship from best friends to lovers was well written and entertaining.
I did get a little frustrated at the repetitious reference to being best friends (so cannot go lust after one another), but having said that I laughed, I cried and I cheered in parts of this book. I also wanted to smack some of the “blind dates” Raine went on just because they were jerks and to me that is the sign of a book that has captured my interest.
These teachers and their friends are a great bunch of characters and I will most certainly be reading the follow up books in this series. Congratulations R.C. Boldt on a great book.
Wildest Dream is the first book I've read by R C Boldt, and I have to say I was completely captivated with the depth of her characters and unique storyline.

About RC Boldt
RC Boldt is the wife of Mr. Boldt, a retired Navy Chief, mother of Little Miss Boldt, and former teacher of many students. She currently lives on the coast of North Carolina but dreams of relocating to a tropical island. When she's not writing, she can be found daydreaming of relocating to a tropical island, at the beach, going running with her family (and contemplating *gently* tossing her daughter out of the jogging stroller to reduce weight resistance), singing karaoke, harassing her husband or relaxing with a good book. And, let's be honest. Most of those activities listed probably include wine or a good microbrew. Except for the running. In that case, the drinks come afterward. :)
