Reviews by Jackie & Marina: Deacons of Bourbon Street Series

Deacons of Bourbon Street!

Meet the Deacons of Bourbon Street, bad boy bikers who are hell on wheels and heaven between the sheets. Fans of Madeline Sheehan, Katie Ashley, Joanna Wylde and Kristen Ashley, buckle up – you're in for a wild ride.

1. Make You Burn by Megan Crane

Sean 'Ajax' Harding's oaths are inked into his skin. Once second-in-command of the Deacons of Bourbon Street motorcycle club, he left New Orleans to protect his brotherhood. But the death of his beloved mentor, Priest Lombard, has lured him back. Heading straight to the club's hangout, he's welcomed by the delectable new owner. A wild ride with her is just what he needs – until he finds out she's Priest's daughter, all grown up and off limits.
Sophie Lombard loved her father, but she's done with bikers. Then Ajax roars into town and changes everything. Sophie knows better than to get close to an outlaw but Ajax is impossible to resist. Their chemistry is steamier than the Louisiana bayou – and with heat like this, it might just be worth getting burned.

Make you Burn is book 1 in the Deacons of Bourbon Street and I was looking forward to reading about New Orleans from a new author to me.
This is Ajax and Sophie's story and its all centered around the unexpected death of Sophie's father Priest (Once president of the exiled Deacons MC) Was it an accident or was it murder ........
The last time Ajax saw Sophie was 10 years ago can he make her his Old Lady this time around.
The characters have chemistry and the sex is so HOT !!! The story is intense and raw as you would expect from any good MC book.
Looking forward to book 2 in this series.

2. Fire Me Up by Rachael Johns

Travis 'Cash' Sinclair's biker days are behind him. The only thing he still values from that life is his Harley Davidson and the man who gave it to him. But Priest Lombard is dead, and Cash has inherited the Deacons' old clubhouse and its new tenant. All incense and art, she's exactly the kind of woman he avoids – but he can't deny that he wants this bohemian beauty.
Billie Taylor fled her dark past to start over in New Orleans. She refuses to let a man distract her from her dreams – especially a biker outlaw who's trying to evict her. Just one look at Cash and you know he's deadly. But Billie might just discover she's got a taste for danger...

This is book 2 in the Deacons of Bourbon Street and its Travis (Cash) and Billie's story.

I have read book 1 which is Make you Burn by Megan Crane and I really enjoyed it. Deacons of Bourbon Street is a four book series written by different authors and I love this idea.

Travis is one of the four original members of Deacons MC that disbanded 10 years ago, they are back together to find out if their president Priest was murdered. Travis has inherited some of the Deacons property but Billie is using it as an art gallery, can he get her out without having hot sex with her ........
Billie moved to NOLA after a divorce to start a new life. Art has become her life but can she resist the hot sexy tattooed bad boy who wants to control her like her ex did or maybe its not quite like the ex did ......
These two have a whole lot of attitude to go with the chemistry that sparks between them. I loved how this story unfolded and how Billie always wanted to see the good in everyone, I think that's something we can all relate too. I'm looking forward to book 3 in the series.

I must first mention I haven't read the first book in this series....but I was intrigued in reading this due to the author.
I enjoyed the book...I do love a good MC romance but something was missing for me. In saying that though I thought the sizzling parts were hot, I also really liked Billie!!! Her zest for life, her love of art and her creative side was really nice! I did enjoy the connection between her and Travis....it was an enjoyable read....

Netgalley ARC received for an honest review.

3. Hold Me Down by Jackie Ashenden

Leonidas 'Blue' Delacroix might be New Orleans aristocracy but the Deacons of Bourbon Street are his real family. And with their leader murdered he vows to unleash hell on the club's rivals - even if it means making an enemy of the girl that was once his best friend. But after all these years their chemistry is red-hot, and ruthless revenge turns into sweet seduction.
For Alice Ray, loyalty is everything. When Blue skipped town she was forced to adopt a new MC family: The Graveyard Ministry. She never forgot Blue's betrayal but seeing him again has awakened old feelings and fiery fantasies. Torn between the motorcycle club that took her in, and the biker who holds the key to her soul, Alice must trust her heart with the deadliest choice of her life.

I'm really enjoying this series and I have to say I'm amazed that each book gels so well considering they are all written by different authors.
Blue (Leonidas St. John Delacroix III) left Alice (Red) 10 years ago and he didn't even take the time to say goodbye to his best friend.
Blue and the rest of the Deacons MC are back in town but things have changed, Red is all grown up and is a strong independent women who now runs a successful bike repair shop but she is now part of the Graveyard Ministry MC.
Blue has always had feelings for his once best friend and when he sees her all grown up and in leather, the blood rushes straight to his groin. Will either of these two trust each other enough to move on with a relationship or more to the point will their rival MC let them......
This book my favourite so far in the series, Blue and Red are hot and sexy and I'm a sucker for second chance romance.
Looking forward to Strip You Bare.

4. Strip You Bare by Maisey Yates

The final book in The Deacons of Bourbon Street and I have to say I'm sorry to see it end.

Micah hates New Orleans but he belongs to the Deacon MC so when they call he comes running , they are back in town trying to find out who or what caused the death of their president. They need to find out why they were sent away all those years ago and why a Delacroix mansion now belongs to the club.
Sarah Delacroix is planning a Christmas party at the mansion, after all it's been in her family for generations and she will never believe it now belongs to The Deacons MC.
Sparks fly when Micah and Sarah meet but how does a virgin who dumped her last boyfriend for cheating, cope with a sexy bad ass biker. The sex in this book is smoking but in the end choices will need to be made by both of them. Will Micah stay and will Sarah stop caring about what people think of her and her name......

I loved that all four books are written by different authors yet they all come together as a complete story. If you love MC romance this is a great series to read
