Review by Maimeo's Angels: King's Baby by Emerson Rose

King has been searching for a way out of his dangerous lavish life since the day his father died and left him the last living heir to the Romero drug empire. After a lifetime of being surrounded by immeasurable wealth, death, and destruction, King yearns for something different, something bright and pure to help pull him from the trenches of his unfulfilling life.

He didn't know her name would be Holland.

He didn't know she was only nineteen.

He didn't know she was a violin prodigy.

He didn't know he was about to destroy her dreams.

5 Star Review

King’s Baby is a gritty romance, written by an author who is obviously not afraid to take controversial issues and make them her own. This was an extremely well written book and I look forward to reading more from Emerson Rose.

King wants out, but it isn’t so simple a decision. He has inherited the Romero drug empire and all that entails and trying to leave this life, will put him and those he cares about in danger.

Enter Holland, a 19 year old innocent, a violinist.

Emerson Rose is the pen name of an author I am familiar with. As with her other books King’s Baby was full of emotion, heartache, shocks and surprises. Just when you think nothing will shock you, you turn the page and wham!

I laughed, I cried, I screamed and I shook my head. It’s that kind of a book. Things change dramatically from one moment to the next and there were moments when I felt simply gob smacked.

Their chemistry is electrifying, but will it be enough? You need to read this book to find out.

Well done Emerson Rose, you have a winner on your hands. I highly recommend this book and suggest you add it to your TBR ASAP.

I received this ARC for an honest review.

Emerson Rose is a self-proclaimed sun worshiper and summer lover. She loves nothing more than to be poolside with any of her five daughters or two granddaughters. Emerson lives in the Midwest however leaving her in boots and coats for most of the year instead of swimsuits and flip-flops.

Emerson spends her weekdays carpooling, writing romance, doing laundry and letting her dogs in and out and in and out of the house!

On the weekends she is a busy O.B. nurse in a nearby hospital. You could say she works both ends of the life spectrum. First she writes the romance that makes couples frisky and then she's there nine months later to catch the end result ... a baby!

Emerson is a big fan of love stories and happily ever after's. "I write about strong independent, intelligent women and sexy, confident, competitive, dominant men who want to believe they are always in control. But hey, let's face it we all know who's behind all that confidence."
