Grace Rivers is your everyday twenty-five year old. She could have the world at her feet, but instead chooses to help run the family business. After experiencing great loss early in her life, Grace values what's most important: her family and friends. But she aches to find that certain someone—that one great, passionate love who values family as much as she does.
Cole Tierney loves his life. He has a wonderful family, a loyal best friend and a successful career as an ER doctor. The only downside is he wants someone to share it with. After being used and left heartbroken, he wants to find someone who will love him for him and not his or his family's status.
"Every beat my heart makes is for you. Every time it beats faster it's because of you—because you're near me, because of your smile—because you take my breath away."
Their two hearts collide by chance and an undeniable connection is quickly made.
But when others are plotting against their happiness, will their love flatline, or will the rhythm of their hearts continue to beat as one?

Do you believe in fate? Do you believe you are supposed to be where you are at any certain time and place?
I believe Grace was supposed to at the hospital on that day and that time. As soon as she saw Cole it was like love at first site. You ask yourself "where have you been all my life?"
Cole a sexy ER doctor is in a league of his own. One look at Grace and he knows he can't let her go. He will do whatever it takes to see her again.
Reading their story I felt like I was watching them in a dream. I laughed so hard at times I thought I was going to cry. I actually did cry. Velvet knows how to tug on your heart strings. I swear you will not read this book without shedding a tear. You will have that lump in your throat and realize fate does exist.
With every relationship there are downfalls. There are outbursts and things said that once they are said you wish you never said them. All that happens with Cole and Grace.
I think you will really enjoy their story. The ending though well I will just leave how you feel about that up to you!!

First let me say you have to read Rhythm of My Heart first. This is a read in order series.
OMG!!! The ending of the first book had me on my toes. I swear this book I blew right through it. With 2 psychotic people trying to ruin their lives Cole and Grace manage to pull through the worse kind of situations imaginable.
Both Grace and her baby fight for their life. Cole not leaving the hospital is drained of energy and sleep. He feels like if he leaves Grace will wake up. His emotions of what happened are kept in and once he releases their family is there to comport him, tell him what he needs to hear. It wasn't his fault. It wasn't really. Grace was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Funny how fate steps in again.
Their love for one another is crazy. It shows every time they talk about one another. I laughed and cried and laughed some more. I swear Cole's mom is awesome. The way she tells it like it is about anything and everything.
As each psychotic person plays their role in Cole's and Grace's life you would think that all is said and done. They have their friends, they have their own little family now. However I feel that Velvet is going to pull something and make you think twice about that.
I can't wait to read book 3.
A home is where love resides.
It's a feeling, more than just a physical place. It's an environment that offers security, truth and happiness. It's the heart of a family.
Sam Evans and Ashley Brookes both know what it's like to lose their homes... their families.
When a stranger from Sam's past makes an unwelcome and unexpected appearance shattering everything he's always believed about his life, the emotionally inept doctor can't deal with the knowledge.
Left confused and brokenhearted, Ashley struggles to cope, and ends up leaning on an old crush for support. When Sam finally gets his act together, he knows he has a lot of fixing and apologizing to do. Aware he's going to lose Ashley, the only woman he's ever loved is not something he’s willing to let happen.
The only way he can get her back is to man-up and show Ashley exactly what she means to him.
To show her that the only home for his heart is with her.

4.5 stars
I rated it 4.5 stars because it was slow for me at first. I was so ready to dive in and see where Sam's and Ashley's relationship was going to go.
Don't get me wrong, I loved seeing their relationship build up. I was ready for action though. Action like with the other 2 books. Maybe some cat fights or something LOL!!
The book picked up after Sam had is little get a way. Saying that because he had to get away, he had to find himself. Dang Sam, I believe you took long enough. Funny how when another man steps in on what is your's, you're ready to come back and claim your prize.
There was some action though. Yeah Ashley gave Sam a nice welcome home present LOL!! I don't think anyone in the family saw that coming.
I know the story is about Sam and Ashley but hello Tanner!!! I hope we see more of him.
We defiantly saw everyone in the family though. We experienced Grace and Cole's wedding. It is nice to have both families come together as one. I mean it was kind of FATE that brought them together to begin with.
