Reviews by Jackie: Players Series by Mackenzie Crowne

When a bizarre child custody stipulation pits popular sports blogger Gracie Gable against football superstar Jake Malone, losing the battle for her twin nieces isn't the only thing Gracie has to worry about. Forced to live for three months under the same roof as the sexy tight end, will she fall prey to his flirtatious pursuit? Or worse, will the skeletons in her closet destroy her chance for the love and family she so desperately wants?

Neglected by his parents as a boy, Jake doesn’t believe in happily ever after. Yet living with Gracie and the twins might be enough to change his mind—and his womanizing ways. But when the press unearths a scandal from Gracie’s past, will he lose the one woman he was ready to open his heart to?

MacKenzie Crowne is a new author to me and as I love sports romance  this series is perfect for me.
Gracie is a sports blogger and Jake is a football superstar ,they are thrown together for 90 days to see who gets custody of 6 year old twins who happen to be Gracie's nieces and Jake's half sisters that he never knew existed.
Gracie promised her sister she would raise her nieces but she never bargained on dealing with the playboy football star that she secretly has a crush on.
Jake is a single playboy who doesn't want to settle down but he needs to do something to tame  his public image so when his publicist suggests he shares custody with Gracie he jumps on board.
And what can I say about the Murphy the puppy apart from he made me laugh .....
The characters are made for each other , they connect, they are fun and funny and I really enjoyed this story.
This book has humor, romance, drama and a few twists and I'm looking forward to more in The Players Series

Ever since experiencing a childhood trauma, reclusive artist CC Calhoun has suffered from panic attacks. But when a fateful kiss from handsome wide receiver, Kevin “Tuck” Tucker, is enough to stop one of those episodes cold, she wonders if guarding her heart has been the right choice. Will going on a test date with Tuck open her to trusting someone for the first time in years? Or will she wind up being just another notch in the football player’s bedpost?

Tuck has a reputation for charming women into bed, but after his kiss with CC, he’s left aching for more. When he proposes a second date, his attraction to the sexy blonde looks like the makings of true love—something he’s never quite believed in—until now. But when Tuck discovers CC’s childhood secrets, will the pro athlete be tough enough to stay by her side—or will he betray her hard-earned trust?

Book 2 in the Players Series and they just keep getting better and better.
This is Kevin Tucker (Tuck) and CC Calhoun story and its a great story , CC the girl that suffers from panic attacks meets the playboy footballer who finds a way  to stop the panic by kissing her...
CC has a fear of being around crowds and only ever leaves her house for food, coffee and the gym.
Tuck saves her from a panic attack outside a coffee shop so she decides a temporary relationship with man that can stop her attacks with a kiss is worth pursuing, her goal in life is to conquer her fears and this man seems to be the key.....
Tuck is off to training camp in three weeks so why not have a bit of fun after all its only temporary or is it .....
I loved the characters in this book, Tuck was sexy, kind and funny. CC was sassy and fun and once again  MacKenzie has given us a book that has humor as well as romance and yet another hilarious dog. I had that Cheshire Cat Grin once again what more can I say apart from a book that makes you smile is a book you should be reading.

In order to protect her, they’ll both have to let their guards down…
Country music’s It Girl Jessi Tucker is fed up with her family’s stifling security measures. The threat of a dangerous stalker has gotten the men in her life—including her football star cousin, Tuck Tucker—monitoring her every move. To get the freedom she yearns for, Jessi hatches a plan to recruit Max Grayson, Tuck’s sexy brawler best friend, to play the role of her new boyfriend. But if her scheme works, will she be forced to hide her true romantic feelings for the sake of her independence? Or will she finally steal the heart of her dream man?...

Max has been pining for Jessi for years and would do anything to protect her, but a professional cage fighter with too many skeletons in his closet has no business being with one of America’s sweethearts. Yet while Max does his best to keep Jessi at arm’s length, the Tucker family persuades him to accept her offer.

Max believes he can keep Jessi safe from danger, but can he shelter her from his own dark secrets, the media’s unforgiving spotlight—and a mutual desire that’s harder to resist each day…

5 Star Review
Book 3 in the Players Series and it just keeps getting better. Each of these books can be read as standalones but I do think you would enjoy them more having read the previous books because characters do cross over.
Jessi Tucker is country music's hot number one girl and because of that and some threats she has received her family have upped the security levels and have told her she needs a bodyguard .......
Max Grayson is a fighter both inside and outside the ring and he is also Jess's cousin Tuck's best friend. Perfect choice as the pretend boyfriend/bodyguard after all your best friends cousin is off limits or is she .....
This book has a bit of everything romance, some steamy sex, a stalker, some sexy sassy females and off course a HEA.
I really enjoyed this book and the series

Hi there. My name is Mackenzie Crowne.

I'm a a wife, mother and really young grandmother. Together with my high school sweet heart husband, a neurotic Pomeranian and a blind cat, I call Phoenix home because the southwest feeds my soul. My love of the romance genre has been a lifelong affair, both as a reader and a writer. A bout with breast cancer sharpened my resolve to see my stories shared with others. Today I'm a seven-year survivor living the dream.

Raised on the concept that a stranger is just one conversation away from being a friend, I love meeting new people. My friends call me Mac. I hope you will too.
