The title says it all, I was hooked from page one and could not put this book down..Jade is brought up in the foster care system moving from home to home until she is adopted by a wealthy socialite Madam Melody. On the face of it life is rosy she has vacations, clothes and a private schooling but life is not always as it seems. M controls Jade and has her under contract.
When Jade walks into Brock at a airport shop the attraction is instant, but for Jade the attraction can go no where she is still controlled by M what she didn't expect was Brock's determination to keep her in his life.
This book is a love story that's full of emotions, its a rollercoaster, it has twists and turns but most of all its good v evil .
Can true love win, will Jade escape M and will she be able to move on...

This book is told in dual POV and I loved it. I loved the characters and the bonds they had.
This is an amazing book and I'm not sure my words give it justice so I'm going to leave you with you need to read this book .

It was a story unlike anything else I have read before and the whole book intrigued me!!!
JL Perry has written something that will leave you breathless, shocked and wanting!!! I truly believe she has a winner on her hands with this book!! I would read anything she writes!!!
This was a new author to me and I have to say I
have no idea why. This is one of those books that I did not want to put down. I
was riveted from the first to the last page. Hooker is told in dual points of
view from Brock and Jade and I think this really works well.
Brock comes from a privileged background and is the
head of his family’s company. They say money can’t always buy happiness and
this is true in Brock’s case. A strained relationship with his mother, loathing
his father, his brother is the only family that Brock wants to have anything to
do with.
Jade is a product of the foster care system gone
terribly wrong, she has been forced into the life of a high class Hooker by her
adopted mother M; she hates her life and the only bright spots in it are Rupert,
her driver who has become a friend.
The only break she gets from her regime is when she
is allowed to go on holiday a couple of times a year to either New York or
Paris. Even then M controls as much of that as she possible can. After buying a
Snickers bar, she bumps into Brock at the airport and they are both instantly
attracted to each other.
Despite her attraction Jade knows nothing can come
of it, after all she has another 2 years left on her contract with M and she
knows what happens when someone tries to defy her. When fate ensures these two
meet again in New York, what Jade doesn’t count on is Brock’s determination to
keep seeing her.
This book was such a roller-coaster of emotions,
and at times I wanted to cry. Both Brock and Jade are very lonely in their own
ways and I cheered so much when they got together.
Brock’s ability to see past the “Hooker” and see
the real Jade was simply beautiful. Jade
has held her head up and dealt with the life she has been given. She has dreams
and Brock wants to ensure that her dreams come true but first she has to escape
the employment of her Madam.
Never have I disliked a character in a book more. I
was absolutely thrilled when justice was finally served to M.
J.L Perry has written a beautiful and romantic, if
at times heart stopping book about acceptance and love and I highly recommend
to anyone you take the time and read this Australian author.
I was so invested with this book that I truly hope
that J.L. Perry considers writing a follow up book.
J L Perry is a mother and a wife. She was born in Sydney, Australia in 1972, and has lived there her whole life. Her love of reading, from a young age, gave her the passion to write. My Destiny was originally written for her sister, in 2013. It was never intended to be published. However, after finishing this book, she felt there was still a lot of Brooke and Logan's story left to tell. This inspired her to write My Forever. With the encouragement of her family and friends, she decided to follow her dream and become a published Author.
That dream was realised on the 6th of June, 2014.
My Destiny is her debut novel in the Destiny Series. My Forever is the conclusion to this book. Her third book Damaged - Jacinta's Story, was released October 15th, 2014. This is a standalone read, but is based on a character in My Forever. Her fourth book Against All Odds, is also a standalone read. It is based on Brooke and Logan's daughter, Angel. It was released on May 27th, 2015. Bastard, her fifth book, was released on September 14th, 2015 and became a #1 Bestseller. In November 2015, J L signed a 5 book deal with publishing giant Hachette. Luckiest Bastard - The Novella was published through them on December 7th. Hooker her 7th book is releasing on the 31st May, 2016. J L is currently writing two more books, Jax and Nineteen Letters. Both will be release late 2016 and early 2017..
