Review & Excerpt Tour: Reviews by Erin & Jackie: Wicked Grind by J. Kenner

WICKED GRIND
By J.Kenner
Release Day:  July 11, 2017

Sometimes it feels so damn good to be bad
Photographer Wyatt Royce’s career is on the verge of exploding. All he needs is one perfect model to be the centerpiece of his sexy, controversial show. Find her, and Wyatt is sure to have a winner.
Then Kelsey Draper walks in. Stunning. Vibrant. And far too fragile for a project like this. Wyatt should know—after all, he remembers only too well why their relationship ended all those years ago.
Determined to break free from her good girl persona, Kelsey wants spice. Adventure. And she’s certain that Wyatt is just the man to help.
But when Wyatt agrees to give her the job only if he has complete control—on camera and in his bed—Kelsey can’t help but wonder if she’s in too deep. Because how can a good girl like her ever be enough for a man like Wyatt?
All Wicked novels stand alone

This was a new author to me and be assured this will not be the last book I read.

I love a second chance of love story which is what Wicked Grind is.

Wyatt Royce is a photographer who career is about to take off. If and it's a big if he  can find the perfect model to be the centerpiece of his sexy and controversial show.

Kelsey Draper wants to change her good girl image and she believes Wyatt is the man to help her.

However, these two have history together. Is Kelsey in too deep? Will Wyatt and his insistence on dominating  in and out of the bedroom be too much for Kelsey, after all it was before?

Will Wyatt and Kelsey be able to move on from the past? Can Wyatt forgive her for breaking his heart 12 years ago? Can he trust thar she won't run again?

Can Kelsey overcome her fears and fight for the man she loves?

It was obvious that neither had outgrown their love for one another.  Told from dual POV's it moves between the past and present.

i thoroughly enjoyed Wyatt and Kelsey's story and look forward to reading more in the series.

I received an ARC  through the publisher and Netgalley and voluntarily reviewed.

5 Stars
What a great start to J. Kenner's new series Stark World. Wicked Grind is a spin off from the Stark Series and in book one we meet Wyatt and Kelsey.
Wyatt and Kelsey fell in love twelve years ago when they were teenagers but the timing wasn't right, meeting in secret meant hearts got broken, misunderstanding on both sides tore them apart will they be able to forgive and forget or will the feelings of anger and hate win again. Blame can sometimes be hard to overcome........
I loved both of these characters, both so very different, one is a guy who grew up in the spotlight the other is a girl who's father kept her under the thumb but somehow they complement each other if they can only leave the past in the past. I loved that we got snippets from the characters of the Stark Series but they didn't take over. Second chance romance is one of my favourite genres and this author writes a great love story which not only hooked me from the first page it kept me on the edge of my seat to the very end. Looking forward to book 2 in this series.
