This is the 2nd book in the Sex and Sweet Tea series and centers on Lowe and Melinda.

When Lowe & Melinda come to blows in the courtroom after Lowe painted the door etc pink, needless to say they have no idea what's ahead of them! Judge orders Lowe to fix things at the house and what eventuates between the two is funny arguing banter and some town gossip that is also rather interesting!

What I really liked about Lowe, was that he was a gentleman as Melinda buying the house affected him in a profound way! Even despite his somewhat pig headedness!

Does he let bygones be bygones and calm himself to see Melinda for her true self!? Someone with a vested interest in the house too?? We learn some truths and I really enjoyed this small country town story, especially the witty townsfolk and also Melinda's bestie when he comes to visit!

All in all an enjoyable read.

Book two in the Sex and Sweet Tea Series and we are back in WhyNot NC for Lowe and Melinda's story. This sweet funny story is about enemies to friends and maybe lovers .......
We pick up the story right where book one finished Lowe is in court for painting Melinda's historic new house the wrong colour, Lowe had always believed Mainer House would stay in his families hands but when the family could no longer afford to maintain the property there was no other option but to sell and when Melinda bought the house Lowe decided to fight back by yes you guessed it painting the house barbie doll pink. The judge orders Lowe to work on the house for so many hours as a punishment the last thing Lowe or Melinda want is to work together but maybe that judge saw a bit more than they did.
This is a book will have you laughing out loud at the quirky characters of WhyNot, it's about family, friends, loyalty and love and it's told in both Melinda and Lowe's points of view. I love my visits to WhyNot and I'm looking forward to getting to know more of the quirky people who live there. I love this sweeter side of Sawyer and I'm looking forward to more from Juliette Poe.

This was a fun, quick read full of romance, laughter and love of family. This is Lowe Mancinkus and Melinda Rothschild's story and I loved it from start to finish it was amazing.

Ms. Poe described Whynot in such great detail that I would love to visit. I love the idea of a small town where everyone knows you; although as Lowe and Melinda found out that can be annoying at times.

Lowe is furious when his family decides to sell their historical home Mainer House in town. Even worse Melinda, the woman who purchased the house is from the city and plans to renovate and sell it. Or does she? What she doesn't count on is hot, sexy and angry Lowe, turning up on the doorstep with a shotgun determined to stop her.

Melinda is just as determined not to give in to Lowe and what follows is a  sexy tale full of anger, laughs and tension which is extremely well written.

Trixie's grandfather Pap is a great secondary character and I hope he actually gets his own story. In fact, all the characters made me smile and I cannot wait until we visit Whynot, North Carolina again as I am anxious to see who will be next in the series.

Stubborn as a Mule is a sexy, romantic book and I loved it.
