Release Blitz & Reviews by Marina & Jackie: Sugar by Mandi Beck

Title: Sugar
Author: Mandi Beck
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: September 7, 2017

Blurb

Country’s hottest bad boy.

That’s what they call me. My label ate it up until I became “too bad” for the good folks of country music. That’s when Hard Candy Records picked me up and took a chance on me. Probably not their smartest move, but I won’t tell them that. Especially when they’ve assigned me a babysitter to try and keep my ass out of trouble. One smart-mouthed, unimpressed, sexy as homegrown sin, Addy Mae Masterson.

She likes to pretend that she doesn’t like me and I like to let her.

I may have a past that haunts me and she may have a habit of getting attached, but damn if I don’t want to show her just how good this bad boy can be.

If you are a fan of rocker stories then this will be right up your alley. It certainly was right up mine!! Wait, does that sound right, or wrong...??!
Beau is a country rocker that's having some bad boy issues, and perhaps a new label will help take him, so to speak. Enter Addy, she's the pr person behind Hard Candy. Her determination to get Beau better press and get him involved in charities, to try and lift his image.
Needless to say,  not everything goes according to plan. Oh no. Sometimes in the heat of the moment things are Saud and perhaps misconstrued.
I loved the characters, the banter was funny, warmhearted and the story was incredibly enjoyable!! I could go on, but my heart really warmed u to Beau. I sighed, swooned and cheered when he came to his senses, so to speak.
I dearly love how it ended and although it's a quick read...it's a beautiful one!!
Thoroughly recommended!!

This is the first book I have read by Mandi Beck and it won't be the last, I fell in love with not only the storyline but also the characters in this book.
Beau McGrae is the type of man that melts your heart and your panties, he has an arrogance about him that you can't help wanting to tame, he is on the downward spiral after tragedy stuck his high school sweetheart and his music career is about to tumble down around him unless he can find a new record label willing to keep him on the straight and narrow.
Addy Mae is a no nonsense sort of gal but the last thing she wants to do is babysit a country music star hell bend on destroying his career.
The chemistry between these two is sizzling, the banter is perfect and this book is a very hot read mixed with just the right amount of bickering, flirting and humour, as the story unfolds you realise Beau's past isn't as black and white as it seems but will these two ever get their act together when it seems the past is hell bent on coming back to haunt them.
This is a must read, Mandi Beck did a brilliant job right down to the country dialect used in this book.

Author Bio

Mandi Beck has been an avid reader all of her life. A deep love for books always had her jotting down little stories on napkins, notebooks, and her hand. As an adult she was further submerged into the book world through book clubs and the epicness of social media. It was then that she graduated to writing her stories on her phone and then finally on a proper computer.

A wife, mother to two rambunctious and somewhat rotten boys, and stepmom to two great girls away at college, she shares her time with her husband and boys in Chicago where she was born and raised. Mandi is a diehard hockey fan and blames the Blackhawks when her deadlines are not met.
