Book four in the Consequence Series and what a brilliant series this is, now that may sound strange coming from someone who has only read books 3 and 4 but if I’m giving both those books five stars without reading books one and two that should tell you something.
I now need to find the time to read the first two books. For me RVD is the queen of rom-com she knows how to get the perfect mix of love, passion, humour and a great storyline.
Maddy Summers is the girl who rejected Jason Caro years ago but now she is back in town and once again she has got him feeling things he doesn’t want to feel, his life has been one big mess since Maddy dumped him and it doesn’t look like it’s about to get any better especially when Colt, Reid and Max are on hand to give him some crazy advice. Spend the weekend with her they said! rekindle your friendship and relive your memories what they didn’t say was get struck by lightning!!!Every character I meet through RVD books makes my head spin, my heart beat just a little bit faster and they have me giggling and smiling like a Cheshire Cat, she has a way with words that make you feel like these couples are your friends and you are just catching up with them over a drink or two. Once again I was captivated and I couldn’t put this book down until I had read the last line and now I know I need to find the time to read The Consequence of Loving Colton and The Consequence of Revenge to make this collection complete.
The Consequence of Rejection for Jason was the ten years he lost simply being able to love Maddy. They both were so young and the decisions that they made have held their hearts in limbo for such a long time. This is a sweet, funny story about love and friendships. With so much history between the characters you could feel the bond they all shared. The guys always had each other’s backs and wanted to ensure that they all found their happiness. Max was the crazy ringleader keeping the humor going throughout the story. His ‘Guide to Dating and Other Important Life Lessons’ are perfect, funny and a bit crazy! They knew Jason’s happiness was only going to be found when he a Maddy found their way back to each other. No one ever said love would be easy, but it would be worth it!
