OMG why have I not read any other books by Heather M. Orgeron, I picked up Doppelbanger thinking I was going to be entertained what I didn’t know was I would be laughing hysterically and having to explain my outbursts to my hubby who was trying to watch the TV, this book has got to be one of the funniest I have read but please don’t think this is just a fun read it is so much more. It has the perfect mix of love, romance and comedy and if you are looking for a great read that will make you laugh and leave you feeling all fuzzy inside this book is the one to read. The adults are funny but the kids are down right hilarious and as the saying goes “out of the mouths of babe” and let me tell you these children had a lot to say but let’s not forget this is also a love story, it’s about a woman not wanting to settle down falling in love with a single father with two adorable girls. I can’t wait to get my hands on other books by this author because if Doppelbanger is anything to go by she will become a go to author for me. Brilliant funny read.
This was a new author to me and can I just say, what a way to start my reading experience off. This book had me laughing so much I hurt my stomach muscles. There were oh so many snort out loud moments that my husband thought I was crazy and I ended up in tears; such was the hilarity found within these pages.
What happens when single dad Jeffrey Ryan finds himself attracted to totally inappropriate Gina Bourque? After all he is a widower with two daughters who are looking to him for guidance and Gina is far from what he thinks would be a good example for his children.
Neither of them can deny the crazy and intense chemistry that sizzles between them. Doppelbanger is a story full of love, romance and humour. In fact the children nearly steal the spotlight such were their moments of pure comedic genius.
There were moments when my emotions got the better of me, at times my heart broke for the girls and their father. Such was the authors ability to draw me in.
This was one of those books that I didn't want to put down and is a great example of romantic comedy at it's finest and the ending of the book was absolutely perfect.
One click this little gem, I don’t think you will be disappointed. Now I am off to find more books by Heather M Orgeron.
Doppelbanger is the first book I have read by Heather Orgeron and I absolutely loved it! It is a perfect mix of laugh out loud situations and banter to serious and heartbreaking moments. This was a perfect feel good, happily ever after story of love for not just Jeffery and Gina, but Evangeline and Willow as they all became a family.
Can I just comment, “out of the mouth of babes”! The stuff that the kids had to say will have you in stitches and the extended epilogue was perfect!
