Release Blitz: Miss Fix-It by Louisa Masters (writing as Olivia Ventura)

A hot cop, a handywoman in killer heels, and a not-so-idle threat… it’s going to take more than a pink hammer to fix-it.
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Stand-alone Novel

Veronica, a self confessed girly-girl, often finds herself labelled a bimbo—and just doesn't care. An ex-economist turned handyperson, Vee is not afraid to be female, period. So what if it happens to be in a male-dominated industry?

When Vee threatens a client with a hammer to ward off his wandering hands, she finds herself at the local police station facing charges of assault. There she meets Detective Cole Samuels, and the sparks thrown off by their mutual animosity are combustive. They quickly become involved in a hot and heavy relationship, leaping one hurdle after another. Things finally seem to be working out when Vee's workplace is vandalized, a message left... and suddenly, that crank call and the near-miss with the crazy driver don't seem to be harmless incidents anymore. Vee's stalker rapidly escalates in violence, leaving Cole determined to find him before Vee gets hurt....

I haven't read this author before and being a huge fan of Rom com's was excited to read it, however this book was more of a romantic suspense for me.
I was captivated in certain parts.. I really loved the characters and the families and friends were incredible. Except for certain people. Anywho. A really enjoyable story that had my heart beating so fast I wondered what would happen.
The connection between Vee and Cole was off the charts and I just loved the way their friendship developed.
I just had to keep reading until I finished.
I will definitely want to read more from this author. Well done on writing such a compelling story!

Olivia Ventura is a new author to me but I certainly will be checking out other books by this very talented author.  It’s Fix-It was a great read it had the perfect mix of suspense, romance and humour to make it a real page turner.
What’s not to love when the story is centred around a hot cop and a blonde heroine who gets her fingernails done but isn’t afraid to get her nails dirty who also carries a pink hammer !!!!! The characters in this book are pretty outrageous and one of my favourite things about this book was the banter and teasing that goes on between the main characters. The story is fast paced and easy to relate to a mother on one side who is not very nice and a huge protective family on the other side. This author has such a way with words she makes you care about her outrageous characters and that in itself is a talent. Looking forward to reading more from Olivia Ventura

Louisa Masters started reading romance much earlier than her mother thought she should. While other teenagers were sneaking out of the house, Louisa was working out how to read romance novels without being discovered. As an adult, she feeds her addiction in every spare second, only occasionally tearing herself away to do things like answer the phone and pay bills. She lives in Melbourne, Australia, where she whines about the weather for most of the year while secretly admitting she’ll probably never move.
