The last duet left me reeling and shaking my head in disbelief. So going into The Left Side of Perfect from Meghan Quinn, to say I was apprehensive is an understatement.This book was what I expected and yet it was so much more. This is by no means your usual romantic comedy from Meghan Quinn. This is a book that will leave you wondering, tear your thoughts apart and have you shaking your head. Just when you think you know where the story is going, Ms Quinn pulls the rug right out from under you and you are left reeling.What an emotional and heartbreaking roller coaster of a story this is. My heart just about broke for Colby and Ryan, as they both so deserve to be happy.Ms. Quinn weaves a tale of self doubt, love and learning to accept yourself. It is beautifully written and will most certainly tug at your heart strings.Be prepared, this book ends on one heck of a cliffhanger but it was so worth it. However as the second book The Right Side of Forever is also releasing you don’t have to wait for the epic conclusion.

Firstly, if you have not read The Left Side of Perfect do not read this book until you do.What an emotional roller coaster of a ride Meghan Quint has taken us on with this duet.The journey throughout The Left Side Of Perfect, The Right Side Of Forever and the Blue Line duet was amazing. Such raw, gritty and at times painful revelations were uncovered. It reminded me of peeling an onion, layer after layer, until there was no place to hide.With this book, the love that was truly meant to be finally happens. What a road these characters have travelled, but through it all they have remained friends and seeing the love they have for each other truly made for an emotional and heat-wrenching read.I know I have come to expect laughter and humour in a Meghan Quinn book, but this duet and the Blue Line duet shows the depth of strength and her ability to take a chance and write a story that will capture your heart, put it through the wringer then spit back out.This book will have you confronting your own insecurities (I know it did for me) but throughout it all is the underlying belief that love can and hopefully does come to those who wait. There was such love, happiness, tears and acceptance in The Right Side of Forever that I didn’t want it to end.
Ms. Quinn weaves a tale of self doubt, love and learning to accept yourself. It is beautifully written and will most certainly tug at your heart strings.The writing was brilliant, the characters strong and honestly I would say that this duet is one of my top reads of 2018. Meghan Quinn has produced her best works to date with these two books. Congratulations on an epic duet.

The Left Side Of Perfect is a raw, heartbreaking and beautiful love story all rolled into one. Since it is the first book in a duet we are left to find out in the next book how Colby and Ryan work through their relationship and how this amazing story will finally turn out, but they are releasing a day a part so you won’t have to wait!
Meghan Quinn knows how to write! This story is unique and she brings us intimately into the lives of these characters. You feel their pain and their joy as if you were part of the story.
If you have the chance to read The Blue Line Duet prior to this duet, you will already know Colby and Ryan. It is not necessary to read it ahead of these books but it would bring a better understanding of the dynamics between the characters.
The Right Side Of Forever
After finishing the Left Side Of Perfect I had to jump right into The Right Side Of Forever. The need to know how this story was going to work out was absolute! This two book duet is a complete story that takes us from friendship, through heartbreak, healing and finally love. For both Colby and Ryan, it was a journey worth traveling. For me, it is a story that pulled at my heartstrings and will stick with me. I highly recommend that you take the time to savor the words that are so meaningful and the story that you won’t forget.

I will be honest the thought of starting this duet after reading The Blue Line Duet had me scared but I also knew I needed Colby’s story and what a story this man has to tell !!!!!!
This book shows us the man Colby has become a man that once was broken but is now going from strength to strength as his career as a fighter pilot has him stationed and settled the only thing missing is the happiness he knows he needs when you have someone at home waiting for you and in The Left Side of Perfect we are following Colby on his journey to find his forever girl. This book really gives us an in-depth look at the man who is not only a hot fighter pilot he is also a loyal friend and just a guy who enjoys hanging out with his squadron buddies.
The Left Side Of Perfect was everything I was expecting and so much more it is romance at his best and once again Meghan Quinn has shown us just how talented and diverse an author she is from the queen of rom coms to the queen of pure romance comes a book I couldn’t put down.

This story was totally unexpected and it went in a direction I never saw coming and I have to say this is probably one of the most heartbreaking ugly cry books I have ever read yet it’s amongst some of the most beautifully written love stories I have also ever read, Meghan Quinn outdid herself with these duets and she ended the only way you should end and that’s on a high!!

| Where do I start???!! How do I convey my feelings about the characters and what happens?? Im not too sure to be completely honest! I know I dove into this story and wondered will it knock me about! What I really loved was the feelings it envoked! The roller coaster of emotions that entwined me in their lives! This book had me from beginning to end and spat me out! The characters and their words just speak to me on an otherwordly level, if you get what I mean! My heart, my soul, their lives and loves! Brilliant! Onto to the second part of this duet because yes I need so much more! The Right Side of Forever
Omg!!! Omg omg!
Rip my heart out and stitch me back together! Or don’t....maybe I’ll just stay in my book bubble!!! .... I think I've fallen and I can't get up! Colby has to be the most caring, sensitive and protective character ever! I just cant even with that man! Not to mention selfless!!! My emotions were so strong whilst reading, that the characters have embedded themselves in my heart FOREVER!!! Truthfully! The author knows how to write stories that work you up and make you become emotionally invested!!! The characters just are so endearing, so wonderful, speak beautiful words and the stories just shine!!! Don’t even get me started on the steamy moments....cold shower inducing absolutely!!!! Brilliance, sheer brilliance!! |
