Blurb: It starts with a bang. As in me and Hadley, the maid of honor, during my brother’s wedding reception. Sure, it was amazing, but I’m a one-and-done kind of guy. After spending years of my life getting screwed over by managers and agents with the Ryder Brothers, I no longer like to commit. I don’t even play music anymore. The secret that I haven’t told anyone- is that I can’t. A chance to raise money for my best friend’s nonprofit to help child stars means it’s time to deal with my block. Hiring Hadley seems like the obvious solution. She wants inside my head (not happening). I want to bang her again (she says she can’t sleep with clients). Between my baggage and her professionalism, can my problem even be fixed? Or will we both end up just wanting more?
Excerpt: Hadley has something about her. Something beyond that daytime fantasy-inducing body and those cinematic eyes. So maybe it’s not just lust that’s made her dance around my thoughts for months now—it’s not like I’m short of women willing to fulfill those kinds of wants. Perhaps some part of me knows Hadley could be good for me, in more ways than one.
I watch her a while longer, feeling the calm energy that her presence seems to bring. Just looking at her is enough. Then, as she finishes her juice and moves away from the group to put the empty glass on a table, I turn to the bartender and instruct him on what to mix up for me.
A Pirate’s Booty. Once again.
The place is louder now, as people pass around the baby clothes and toys, conversation splitting off into a dozen smaller, more intense ones. I take the drink and move through the guests, smiling as a few of them call hellos, and eventually reach my target.
“Third time’s the charm?” I say, once I’m close.
She spins around and looks startled for a second. Her eyes going from mine, to the drink, and back to mine again before she tilts her head and casts that warm sunbeam of a smile at me.
“I appreciate it, but I’m not drinking tonight. Driving.”
I push the drink a little closer to her.
“I’m sure there’s a kind gentleman somewhere around here who’s willing to take you home.”
She laughs gently, then bites her lip in a gesture so sexy it could be its own porn category. A moment of hesitation, the indecision written all over her expressive face—but I know she’ll give in.
“You know what? I’ll take you up on that,” she says, side-eyeing me coquettishly as she takes the drink and sips. I savor it, the way she raises her chin, the slenderness of her neck. God, she’s incredible.
“Good?”
“Very good,” she says, her smile a little wider now, a little more subtextual.

This is the final book. the final Ryder brother in the series and boy am I sad to see it finish, I loved the concept of three different authors writing about three brothers who all have their own issues. J.D.Hawkins is a new author to me but after reading More I certainly will be checking out other works from this very talented author.
Jonas Ryder is the oldest Ryder brother and that makes him responsible for his siblings and the issues that went with the boy band they formed but he burnt himself out and he walked away when they were at the top but even after walking away he can’t find the happiness his siblings have both found so he turns to a woman he met at his brothers wedding a woman who was meant to be a one time fling.......
Hadley is a life coach and she has never crossed the line with one of her clients (well she has not technically crossed the line with Jonas because the hook was before he was her client ) but even though she knows he is off limits she can’t stop the attraction and the feelings she has for her best friends brother in law........
This story is an emotional one it captures all the emotions and demons Jonas has faced in his life and it had me feeling like I needed to hug this broken man. This author’s writing has a way of drawing you in and making emotionally invested with the characters, you feel their pain you feel their love and most importantly you relate to them. What a great book to end this wonderful series on.

I have read the previous two books in this series and could not wait for Jonas’s story. I knew that the woman who would captivate him would need to be special and Hadley is just the woman.
Hadley and Jonas start of as a one night hookup but despite themselves, they both gravitate to one another and want more.
Jonas has some deep and personal fears and issues he has managed to hide from his brothers and the rest of the world. When a friend ask him to take part in a benefit to raise funds for exploited child stars, he knows he needs to face his demons but has no idea how.
Having hooked up with Hadley a couple of times, he is surprised to learn that she is a life coach and may be able to help him.
I absolutely adored the character of Hadley, not only is she a strong, loyal friend but the care and empathy she has for helping others was awesome.

Both Hadley and Jonas have personal issues to overcome and honestly I was absolutely riveted from the first to the last chapter. The emotional pain and fear that needed to be overcome was tangible.
JD Hawkins has written a book that does the characters justice and the writing was so strong and engaging that I couldn’t put this book down.
There were so many swoon worthy moments throughout More and I loved the camaraderie between Hayden and her girlfriends which had me in stitches at times. I also loved the banter between Jonas and his brothers.

I haven't read a book by this author before and this is also my first read in this series. I liked the characters, I liked the dilemmas they faced and the words said to help them deal with things, life etc.
There was a real sense of family, friendships that I came to really love as well.
Overall, all I wanted to do, is give Jonas a big hug. His heart and the way things happened just made him feel real, everyday issues....plaguing him.
At one point I got so engrossed in the book that I had to finish so I could see how he got on.
My heart was in my throat, I felt restless wondering.
A rather enjoyable read that had some really wonderful words of support from those around him.

More is the first book by JD Hawkins that I have read. I am now a new fan!
The story had an interesting twist. Most rock stars are written as alpha characters that seem to have it all together. Jonas didn’t. The life he lived in the music industry from a young age had tainted his outlook on life so much so that he walked away from it completely. When he finally decides to change it takes Hadley, a special women, to work her magic as a life coach to give him the confidence to face his demons and find his love of making music again.
