Bang, bang!
They shot us down.
Bang, bang!
We ran through town.

Now here I am …
Bang, bang
… in an undercover police sting.
Miranda Sikes is a twenty-year-old university student who hates venturing into the city, but her grandmother’s watchband isn’t going to repair itself.
The watchband doesn’t get fixed.
She misses the bus home.
She’s stuck in the one place she loathes.

Miranda’s next decision will change the course of her day, her year, and her life.
And it all happens when she grabs the arm of a man named Haggerty, finds herself shoeless while running down a busy street, and is forced to dive to the ground when she hears …
BANG! BANG!

I haven’t read many books from this author and thought Id give this book a go as it sounded rather intriguing from the blurb!
The story was full of suspense, drama and I often wondered what will happen, if the characters will be ok at the end!
My heart beat fast in certain moments and I really felt for Miranda and what she has to go through, she was rather naive and unsure but part way through she seemed to fight to get out of the position they were in!
I liked the suspense aspect but some parts just seemed a bit too much for me. A good story with a good ending.

The blurb for Bang Bang was intriguing and as I love romantic suspense stories I jumped at the chance to read and review.
This book was not what I was expecting and I was hooked from the first to the last page. Bang Bang was full of drama, suspense and danger and had me on the edge of my seat as I read.
Miranda was  likeable though somewhat naive young woman who manages to get herself in to some difficult situations. She seemed particularly young although she is 20 but as the story progressed she came into her own which I was pleased to see.
There was humour along with quite a few twists and turns along with the suspense which added to my enjoyment. The chemistry between Miranda and Haggerty smoldered even though there were times that I did not think that they would move forward.
This is my first read from Belle Brooks and if this book is anything to go by, it will not be my last.

Belle Brooks is a new author to me and after reading Bang Bang I have to ask why haven’t  I read any of her works before now, well that’s about to change because this book had me hooked from the first chapter to the very last line. The blurb intrigued me but this book was so much more than I expected.
This is a romantic comedy but it’s the added suspense that really makes this book stand out within the rom-com genre.  It’s funny, it’s intriguing, it has drama and suspense, it has a couple you will fall in love with, a story that will intrigue you and it will certainly leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat. If you are looking for a lighthearted, fun read that’s just a bit different please pick up a copy of Bang Bang and really get to know Haggerty and Miranda.
