Something Like Hate

By Claudia Burgoa

Release Date: August 15, 2019

Blurb

Between a troublesome client and my fake-girlfriend-for-my-sister’s-Cancun-wedding canceling at the last minute.
I’m having the day from hell.
Then I spot Claire. Sexy. Smart. Sassy.
So one of my superstar employees is boarding the same plane.
With her help, I could kill two problems with one tequila shot.
That thing about never mixing business with pleasure?
I should’ve remembered.
Now the hottest one-night stand I’ve ever had is my biggest business rival.
We’re after the same client.
I’m after her heart.
The trick is how to win one without losing the other.
Because when love has you by the balls, it’s time to play dirty.

USA Today bestselling author Claudia Burgoa spins a new romantic comedy. This hot office rivalry romance will have you swooning and laughing your panties off!

Something Like Hate is a full-length novel based on Miller and Claire’s short story, "The Accidental Hookup," which was previously released in Spring Fling: A Romance Anthology.

Something like Hate is a book with intrigue, drama and hot steamy scenes with characters that you don’t know whether you love or hate!
Its my first read from the author and I will definitely want to read more from her! Why I haven’t read her before is beyond me!
This book had me hooked from beginning to end and I loved everything about it!
I was about yelling at the story as I read ‘Come on guys’!!! The back and forth torture was rather funny and the friends had great banter! I laughed in certain parts too! This was such a great read! Claire and Miller are definitely a couple that will keep you on your toes!
Their families though?? Too funny the way they intrude in their children’s lives and the support is wonderful as well!
This was truly a beautiful story that makes you think, does love stand the test of time?? Is business more important than personal life? A must read to find out what happens!!!!

Where do I start and can I do this book justice!!!! Well I guess I start with Something Like Hate captivated me from the first page to the last line it was a book I couldn’t put down. This book has all the feels you want it a great read, it’s funny, it’s sad, it will tug on your heartstrings, it has plenty of witty banter, a fair bit of saucy banter and Miller and Claire’s story will certainly keep you turning the pages. This book touched me on so many different levels, I loved Miller and Claire, I loved their story and I loved how this author told their story.
This a beautifully written story that I highly recommend so do yourself a favour and join Miller and Claire’s journey it’s a ride you don’t want to miss!!

I have only read a couple of books by Claudia Burgoa. Each book has been well written with characters that I could easily relate to and this book was no exception. I was hooked from the first to the last chapter.

Claire is feisty, determined, strong and has no problem standing up for herself or those she believes in. Miller is definitely an alpha male who is equally as strong and arrogant at times.

Something Like Hate is spicy, humorous, a little angsty and at times frustrating. Feelings will be hurt and a betrayal will leave you reeling. Will the sacrifices made be worth it? Or can the trust which was broken be re built?

I really loved Miller and Claire, both separately and together, they really do make a great couple. The question is will they get their happily ever after?
