Gin and Jewels is the first book by Kimberly Knight that I have read and I am now a fan! It is book five in her Saddles and Racks series but can be read as a standalone.
This book was a perfect combination of enjoyable characters and an engaging storyline that I know you will love. I loved the good slow burn and building relationship between Brad and Cassie. She was always struggling since the sudden death of her parents and her brother was no help. He was actually the cause of all stress in her life. Little did she know that her Prince Charming was so close until Brad entered her life. Fate put them in each other’s paths but something else was in play to show each of them what love truly looked like.

This is Bradley Rhodes and Cassandra Davidson’s story.

Leaving his job as a Marine Raider, Brad now finds himself working at Saddles & Racks. It means he can take care of his mother’s medical bills and is no longer in danger. When he meets Cassie, he is cautious but attracted.

I really admired Cassie and her determination to make the most of her life. After all she had no choice but to learn to stand on her own two feet, her only family being a self obsessed trouble making older brother.

Sometimes it’s hard to chose between ones’ family and doing the right thing and that is the situation Cassie finds herself in.

When Brad and Cassie finally come together, their blossoming relationship will be put to the test when Cassie suddenly disappears. Will Brad be able to save the woman who has come to mean so much to him or will the past destroy their chance of happiness?

Gin & Jewels had suspense, danger, intrigue, steamy scenes and characters that you couldn’t help but like. It was also great to see some familiar faces popping in which added to the experience.

Another great addition to the series and I look forward to reading more.
