She has no intention of acting on her growing feelings for the charming police officer. Cam’s not a casual kind of guy. Georgia insists she’s not a forever kind of girl. Cam respects Georgia’s wishes about not pursuing the attraction between them, but when her shop is vandalized, he closes the distance. In a professional capacity. As more incidents happen, Cam is convinced Georgia has made an enemy. She might want to deny their snowballing feelings but he won’t ignore his sworn duty to protect. Even if she was, there’s something she’s not telling him that could put them in more danger than getting caught under the mistletoe.

Jody Holford is a new author to me and I am not sure why that is. I really enjoyed this story and although not particularly long she managed to pack quite a bit into this story. When time permits I will be looking at other books by this author.

What's not to love? It's the most magical time of the year and also happens to be my most favourite holiday. I love any story that is centred on Christmas; it’s a time for family and friends to get together and celebrate life.

Cam Andrews caught my eye from the moment he was introduced in this book, he was swoon worthy, add in that he is a cop and it ticked the boxes for me. He is also painfully shy when not in uniform which is a different slant than most romance books. I loved that he was vulnerable and yet is still a focused and determined man; a man who is not afraid of commitment.

Georgia Meyers has moved to Angel’s Lake to re-invent herself and escape the past. She plans to keep to herself and avoid trouble at all cost. She has no plans to find romance having sworn off men, and does not believe in a forever relationship, however  Cam does not take no for an answer.

When trouble lands on her doorstep, it appears that she may have an enemy who is targeting her. Cam swoops in to help her professionally, whilst trying to respect the boundaries she has placed, however he is determined to break down the walls she has erected.

I liked how determined, feisty and sassy Georgia was and found this was an entertaining story that captured and held my attention.
