Title: New Year's with the Single Dad
Series: The Single Dads of Seattle
Author: Whitley Cox
Genre: Single Dad Holiday Romance/Comedy
Release Date: November 30, 2019

Welcome to Seattle, the Emerald City and home to The Single Dads of Seattle. Ten sexy single fathers who play poker every Saturday night, have each other's backs, love their children without quarter, and hope to one day find love again.
This is Emmetts story ...
Single dad of Seattle, Dr. Emmett Strong doesn't believe in soulmates. Not since his ex-wife blindsided him with divorce papers, breaking not just his heart, but his daughter's, as well. Eighteen months later, it's just the two of them and he intends to keep it that way. He won't hurt Josie again by bringing another woman into her life. However, fate has other plans and on New Year's Eve, sparks instantly fly when he bumps into the intriguing and beautiful Zara.
Single mom and flower shop owner, Zara Olsen, has no time--or patience--for wishy-washy men who can't commit., so she's definitely not going to fall for the unavailable doctor. But when Emmett keeps getting thrown into her path, and the two wind up at the same New Year's Eve party, she wonders if fate is trying to tell her he's not so unavailable after all. He's funny and kind, the chemistry between them is sizzling and it's almost midnight. It must be time for a kiss. But when she finally gives into their attraction, she begins to regret it when Emmett starts acting strange.
Can Emmett set aside the past and reach for the bright future he could have with Zara, or will this New Year's with the Single Dad end up being one Zara will remember, but would rather forget?
**Note: This book can be read as a standalone. It includes lots of steamy scenes, cursing, and of course as with all my books, this has an HEA and no cliffhanger or cheating. If you like single dads who take charge, this book is for you.

“I love your laugh,” he said, taking the risk and pressing his nose and cheeks against the tops of her soft breasts, nuzzling them.
She inched forward just a fraction more, and her pelvis grazed his erection. It jerked before he could tell it not to.
He glanced up at her, not removing his nose from her chest.
Her eyes flared.
“What are we doing, Emmett?” she breathed, her chest now heaving against his face, her feminine scent driving him absolutely bonkers.
His fingers bunched in the fabric of her dress, drawing it up her legs until her ass was exposed. He cupped her almost bare bottom, loving the way her cheeks clenched in his palm. He could tell she worked out, or at least walked a lot. Her thighs, although soft, had muscle and definition, the same with her ass. Each cheek was the perfect handful—and then some. He could only imagine how amazing that ass would look up in the air with her bent over the wine barrel and his cock sliding in and out of her.
She was curvy in all the right places. Something to hold on to. Feminine and beautiful.
“Emmett?” Her words were now a strangled murmur as he brought one hand around under her dress and pushed her panties to the side, exploring her slick folds.
She was so wet for him already.
“Hmm?” he hummed, tracing trails over the tops of her breasts with his tongue.
“What are we doing?”
“I don’t know,” he whispered, kissing the swell of each perfect mound, wishing he had more hands so he could still cup her ass, explore her pussy but also fish her breasts out of her top and draw a tight nipple into his mouth. “What I do know is that you’re making me break all my rules. This isn’t typical me at all.”
Her breath snagged, and gooseflesh broke out across her chest and arms. He glanced up at her but didn’t stop the exploration of his tongue. She was staring down at him with an open mouth and wide eyes, her cheeks gorgeously pinked up and sexy as fuck.

I have said it before and I’m sure I will saying it again for me this series gets better with each release, I have loved all the single dads but oh my Dr Emmett Strong has taken this series to another level( if that really was possible) !!!!
This is Emmett Strong and Zara Olsen’s story and what an amazing tale they have to tell because this isn’t just about them their children JoJo and Nolan feature heavily in this book and I have say those kids have some classic one liners that left me smiling like a Cheshire Cat.
A chance meeting in a coffee shop line where Emmett and Zara surprisingly both order the same thing is where their story starts, could fate be putting them in the same place at the same time or will Emmetts fear of being burnt again ruin this relationship before it even starts ......
That’s all I’m telling you about this book because you need to read it without any preconceived ideas because you will get the best out of this story if you go in without any expectations. It’s a book that ticked all my boxes, I laughed, I smiled and I did a lot of swooning as I got to know this couple and their kids but even though this was a fantastic read the icing on the cake was catching up with other members of The Single Dads of Seattle. Each of these books can be read as stand-alone’s although I’m sure once you pick one book up you won’t want to stop there . Great addition to a great series.

Every time I read a new book in the series I fall more and more for all the dads in The Single Dads of Seattle series. New Years With The Single Dad is Dr. Emmett Strong and single mom Zara Olsen’s story and what a fabulous story it was.
Their children JoJo and Nolan almost steal the book out from under their parents as they had some of the best lines in the book.
A chance meeting at a coffee shop is the start of Emmett and Zara’s adventures and when they continue to meet, could it be the universe showing them the path it has in store for them? Meeting again at Daisy and Riley’s New Year’s Eve party, Emmett and Zara get hot and heavy together , but is that all it is?
Badly burnt by his ex wife’s lies and betrayal Emmett has no intention of opening himself up to love again, or allowing his daughter JoJo to get hurt. That is until fate steps in and keeps putting Zara in his path.
I loved how fate kept giving Emmett and Zara the chance to meet and connect with one another. Despite themselves, neither Emmett or Zara can ignore the smoldering chemistry and growing feelings that sizzle between them.
There were times when I laughed and times where I wanted to cry. Emmett frustrated me a great deal at times with his one step forward, two steps back behaviour and I admired Zara’s willingness to stand up to him and call him on his behaviour.
I love that we see other members of the club pop up throughout the story; the camaraderie and friendships amongst the men and the women they fall in love with is heart warming.
Will Emmett be prepared to take a chance on love again? Or will his fear of commitment push Zara away once and for all?

A Canadian West Coast baby born and raised, Whitley is married to her high school sweetheart, and together they have two beautiful daughters and a fluffy dog. She spends her days making food that gets thrown on the floor, vacuuming Cheerios out from under the couch and making sure that the dog food doesn't end up in the air conditioner. But when nap time comes, and it's not quite wine o'clock, Whitley sits down, avoids the pile of laundry on the couch, and writes.
A lover of all things decadent; wine, cheese, chocolate and spicy erotic romance, Whitley brings the humorous side of sex, the ridiculous side of relationships and the suspense of everyday life into her stories. With single dads, firefighters, Navy SEALs, mommy wars, body issues, threesomes, bondage and role-playing, these books have everything we need to satisfy the curious kink in all of us.

Thank you so much for your reviews. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! xoxo
