This is the second book in her latest series and is Boon Hoenes and Posey Adler’s story. Both Posey and Boon have been hurt in the past and neither are looking for a new relationship. However all that is about to change.

Posey feels the time is right to shine and show her family that she deserves to be a part of the family business, finally enabling her to step out from behind her sister’s shadow. With this in mind, she returns home to take on a job as a special teams assistant with the Assassins.

Posey and Boon go head to head over the power play and despite himself, Boon is intrigued by the feisty and sassy Posey. In fact she captures his attention so much, that he feels that she is worth the risk of getting hurt again.

As the friendship between them grows, the chemistry between them builds until neither of them can resist. I loved the characters, they were easy to relate too and I can easily see them as friends.

There were times that my heart broke for Posey as she struggled with the belief that she is never going to be good enough, her lack of self esteem off the ice showed her vulnerability. I loved how supportive Boon was as she struggled, totally swoon worthy.

You cannot help but be drawn in by the story Ms. Aleo weaves. I really enjoyed Toni Aleo’s style of writing and Power Play was an entertaining story which hooked me from the first to the last chapter.



Book 2 in the Nashville Assassins: Next Generation and what a great series this is shaping up to be, in this book we catch up with Posey Adler and her new dream job as part of the special teams coaching staff at the Assassins. 
Boon Hoenes and Posey bash heads over the power plays she has put in place for the team but it’s not just about the power plays, as they say there is a fine line between love and hate so do this couple hate each other or is it love they really feel.....
Boon can’t get the sassy and feisty Posey out of his head, she is on his mind on the ice as well as off but he has been burned by a previous relationship so is he ready to take a leap of faith, one that could not only mess with his love life it could ruin his career. Posey thought she knew what love was all about but after opening her heart to the wrong man all she wants to do is concentrate on her career but what is it with this man named Boon who seems determined to get inside her head and her heart.
As Boon and Posey become friends their feelings grow into more but falling in love could ruin both their careers and let’s not forget Shea Adler who will want a say in his daughters love life .....
This book has all the feels, I smiled, I laughed and my heart broke as this couple went through so much before they got the HEA they so deserve. A smart sassy girl on the outside struggles with self esteem and it takes a man like Boon to prove she is a special lady. This is a love story that touches on vulnerability as well as showing us tthat love with the right person can make us stronger. This very talented author really put her heart on the line with his  beautifully written romance. I loved everything about this book and I’m sure you will too.
