This is the first book I have read by this author but it won’t be the last because I really enjoyed this quick entertaining read. My Red Vixen is book 2 in The Best Draft Series but it can certainly be read as a stand-alone, I know this because I’m playing catch up with this series and I haven’t read book 1.

This is Jen and Jake’s story and it’s a story that captivated me from the first page to the last line. 

A chance meeting finds Jake offering Jen a place to stay when she finds herself homeless due to a fire at her apartment, what they don’t realise is their worlds are about to be turned upside down and their life’s are going to be changing forever if they can only get past their painful pasts.....

This book ticked my boxes, it’s well written, it has great characters with sizzling chemistry and it has the perfect mix of love, passion and humour. I will certainly be checking out book one and looking for future works by this very talented author.

E.K. Woodcock is a new author to me and I am surprised that I have not come across this author before. My Red Vixen was an entertaining read and I found myself invested in Jen and Jake’s story from the first to the last chapter.  

Both Jen and Jake has been badly burnt in the past and neither are willing to open themselves up to further heartache, however they did not count on fate stepping in.  

A chance meeting turns in to so much more when Jake offer Jen a place to stay when her apartment is destroyed by fire. Neither of them know that this will change both their lives forever.  I really liked these characters, they were easy to relate to, these two were meant to be together and I really cheered for them to get their happily ever after.   

Can Jen and Jake move on from their painful pasts and together make a future filled with love and happiness or will miss understandings and miss communication tear them apart before their love even has a chance to grow?
