SPEAK FROM THE HEART by L.B. Dunbar - Release Blast

Release Date: August 6

When a small town, single father becomes enemies with the new girl in town, it’s either keep fighting her or give in to what his heart wants most.

Emily Post isn’t staying. Back at her grandmother’s summer home, she’s only in Elk Lake City for a visit which can’t end soon enough. Especially when she can’t seem to get away from one grumpy repairman who shows up everywhere. Fortunately for him, his daughter is sweet even if she refuses to speak.

Jess Carter is a hometown favorite and a hot single father. Sworn off love for several reasons, foremost is the silence of his daughter. His little one has a secret and he doesn’t know the why behind it.
Unfortunately for him, his six-year-old has taken a liking to the beautiful new woman in town visiting her nana.

And everywhere he goes, there she is, invading his space and his heart.

While silence might be golden, the voice in lonely hearts refuses to remain quiet.

Author Note: One feisty woman visiting this single father's small town leads to fairy tales, backyard folly, and firework-worthy sexy time.

Speak from the Heart is an updated version of the original book called Sound Advice, i never read the original but I can tell you the updated version is a book you will want to one click, the title tells you everything about this story and Ms Dunbar couldn’t have picked a better title in my opinion.
This isn’t just a romance story this is a heartfelt journey that you will want to join, it’s sweet, it’s entertaining but must importantly it’s told from the heart. Small town and single dads was always going to make this a must read for me but I didn’t expect to be drawn in as quickly as I was, I was captivated from the first page and there was no putting down until I had read the final line of Jess Carter and Emily Post’s romance. Emily is back home for a visit to her nana what she didn’t expect was to fall for the single dad and his adorable little girl Katie. Emily made a connection with Katie from the moment she met the little girl who struggle with words and that connection had her butting heads with Jess from the word go so will this little girl bring Jess and Emily together or will the issues this father has dealt with alone pull them apart....
This book touched me on so many levels, I swooned, I sighed, I smiled and I cried and I highly recommend this gem of a read. Looking forward to more from the very talented Ms Dunbar.

I was hooked on this book from the first to the last chapter. I love books that are centered around small towns add in a single dad and it is a win/win for me; this is Jess Carter and Emily Post’s story.
When Emily returns home for a brief visit to check on her nana, she is concerned to find her having health issues. The story was well written, the characters strong and easy to relate too. My heart went out to Jess’s little girl Katie as she struggled to express herself without words.
As enemies, turn to friends, turn to lovers it was entertaining to watch their relationship progress. I loved how intent Emily was in helping Katie learn to express herself, she went above and beyond in her willingness and Jess really appreciated it.
This was a heartwarming, romantic love story which ticked the boxes for me and is one I thoroughly enjoyed.

Speak from the Heart is a updated version of the original book titled Sound Advice by Ms. Dunbar and this version is even better than the first.

This story will absolutely speak to your heart. The endearing characters take us on a journey that is both sweet and heartwarming with the whispered wisdom from Emily’s grandmother and the continued references to fairytales because who does love a happily ever after? I know I do but sometimes it just takes the heart time to understand what is within its grasp.

Jess and Emily both have their own reasons that they have kept their hearts protected, but it is sweet, young Katie that quietly connects them. Katie is drawn to Emily, a stranger to her, and in that connection magic happens, voices are heard and happiness is realized.

This is not just a love story, it is a story of healing and understanding and it had a hold on me from the first page to the last.

I’ve been accused of having an over-active imagination.

To my benefit, this imagination has created over twenty novels, including the creation of a small-town world (Sensations Collection), rock star mayhem (Legendary Rock Star series), MMA chaos (Paradise Stories), rom-com for the over forty (The Sex Education of M.E.), and a suspenseful island for redemption (The Island Duet).

My alter ego, elda lore, creates magical romance through mythological retellings (Modern Descendants). My life revolves around a deep love of reading about fairy tales, medieval knights, regency debauchery, and strong alpha males.

I love a deep belly laugh, a strong hug, and an occasional margarita. My other loves include being mother to four grown children and wife to the one and only.
