Review and Except Tour for ELI’S TRIUMPH by Joanna Wylde! ELI’S TRIUMPH

From New York Times Bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes ELI’S TRIUMPH, a new novella in her Reapers MC series, brought to you by 1,001 Dark Nights! Be sure to grab your copy today!

About ELI’S TRIUMPH:

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes a new story in her Reapers MC series…

Peaches Taylor spent the last seven years slinging drinks and dodging drunks at the Starkwood Saloon. Some might call it a dead end job, but to her it was an investment—another six months, and she’d have enough money to buy the place.

Life would've been perfect if Eli hadn’t come home.

Eli King is ready to settle down. He stood by his brothers when they needed him, paying the price for their freedom with his own. Now it’s time to claim his reward—the Starkwood Saloon. He’s got the cash to buy the bar, the skills to run it, and just one person standing between him and his dream: Peaches Taylor.

She’s been driving him crazy since they were kids, and not in the good way. When she was six, she shoved a spider down his pants. When he was ten, he locked her in a closet overnight. Then she hot-wired his car at seventeen, and things got ugly…

They’re adults now, and the Starkwood isn’t a toy to fight over—it’s the hill they’ll die on. No prisoners. No compromises. No mercy.

Peaches Taylor and Eli King are going to war.

**Every 1001 Dark Nights novella is a standalone story. For new readers, it’s an introduction to an author’s world. And for fans, it’s a bonus book in the author’s series. We hope you'll enjoy each one as much as we do.**

EXCERPT:

“Kinda desperate, coming here on your night off,” Eli said as I walked up to the bar. “Usually, girls just text me when they want a booty call.” His lips quirked up in a smirk.
“Go to hell,” I replied absently. Where was Gus? The place was mostly empty, just a few of the Reapers hanging out in one of the corner booths. Megan was wiping down tables, and Eli was the only one behind the bar. I frowned, boosting myself up onto one of the bar stools. “Oh, and can I have a rum and Coke?”
Eli leaned forward on his elbows. “Too late. I already did last call for the night.”
“It’s hardly past eleven,” I said, surprised.
“Slow night.” He shrugged. “Decided to close early.”
“I’ve been trying to convince Gus that we should close earlier when it’s like this for the last three years.”
Eli’s mouth quirked up, radiating smugness.
“Gus isn’t in charge anymore.”
My stomach dropped. “Does that mean you signed the papers today? I thought they weren’t ready yet.”
Eli raised an eyebrow, but he didn’t give me a direct answer. Instead, he grabbed a couple of shot glasses and set them out between us. Then he grabbed a bottle of Crown Royal from the shelf behind the bar.
“Eli, did you sign the papers?” I asked again, feeling nervous. He filled the shot glasses. This was starting to look like a celebration, which didn’t make sense.
They weren’t supposed to finalize things until next week.
“Got them today,” he said, and I heard the triumph in his voice. That fucking bastard… It wasn’t enough for him to take the bar from me. Nope. Now, he wanted me to celebrate with him. This was about him winning. Again. “Already looked everything over. We’ll sign them tomorrow morning at the title company. Grab your drink, Peaches. It’s time for us to make a new start.”
Eli caught my eye, raising his glass in a toast.
I briefly considered throwing the shot in his face because I’d be damned if I would concede defeat. If the papers hadn’t been signed yet, I still had a chance to make my offer. Eli didn’t need to know that, though. So, I gave him a strained smile and forced myself to give his glass a token tap. Together, we downed the shots.
He reached for the bottle and started pouring again.
“Are you trying to get me drunk?” I asked, wondering if he had a deeper game. “Because I stole bottles of this shit all the time in high school. It’ll take more than two shots.”
“Not true,” he said. “You always went for the crappy vodka. Easier to water down. Cover the crime.”
He had me. I’d totally done that.

I am a big fan of Joanna Wylde and her Reaper MC series. This is book 6.7 in the series which is one of my favourite MC series of all time. As with all the previous books in this series, Eli’s Triumph was grittyrealistic and extremely well written.
This is Eli King and Peaches Taylor’s, enemies to lovers story. Every time I read a Reaper MC book, I fall more in love with Ms.Wylde’s books. Her characters are always strong, the women feisty and the men so darn Alpha it almost hurts. They love hard, play hard and there is just something about these men and their women that ticks all the boxes for me.
Eli has given up so much for the Reapers MC and now he is back and ready to settle down, ready to take ownership of the bar Gus has promised him, the only thing standing in his way is his childhood nemesis Preaches, who also happens to want the Starkwood Saloon.
There was plenty of tension and drama, hot and heavy scenes and so much build up that I was totally engrossed from the start. This is one heck of a roller coaster read to be honest and I found myself both happy and sad on occasion.

Eli’s Triumph takes us through a quick ride through the world of the Reapers MC. I am a big fan of Joanna Wylde and her Reapers series so when a new book is released I am all in! She brings us the good the bad and the ugly of the MC world combined with strong, sassy women and panty dropping, hot alpha men!
Eli and Peaches have always had a love/hate type of relationship with more hate than love at times. Neither has had things easy but they have always stayed connected. Now, if they can put their differences aside and give into their desires they have a chance at what they both have always wanted!

I love  this series and I was so excited to be back with men and woman of  the Reapers MC and Eli’s Triumph was everything I expected and more. In this quick read we get everything we want to know about Eli and Peaches, a couple with a love/hate relationship and nine times out of ten it’s more hate than love......
Peaches has spent most of her life with the Reapers and for the last few years she has worked at the Starkwood Saloon with the intent of one day making it’s hers well that was before Eli King came back into the fold. Peaches sees Eli as the man who has stolen everything important to her but this time she is not prepared to give up without a fight.....
This may be a quick read but it still packs a mighty punch, sizzling chemistry, a enemies to lovers romance as well as catching up with the Reapers gang all in all a great read !!!!

EXCERPT: “Eli?” she asked, sounding confused. “Why are we talking about Eli?” “He’s been watching me.” “Um, I think he’s just drinking a beer,”Megan said. “Maybe checking out your boobs a little, but that’s nothing new.” Hmm… It couldn’t possibly be that simple, but it did give me an idea. Maybe it was time to create a diversion. I shifted my shoulders, expanding my chest. Disappointingly, his eyes stayed on mine. “Someday I’m gonna own this bar, and firing his ass is the first thing I’ll do.” Megan giggled. “That sounded sort of super-villain-ish. Do you have a lair? I wish I had a lair…” I blinked, caught off guard. I hadn’t realized that I’d said the words out loud. Eli smirked at me, gloating because he’d just won our little pissing contest. Dammit! “I can’t believe I wrote to him in prison,” I told her, turning my back on the bikers. “Never should’ve been nice to him. He probably thinks that, deep down inside, we’re friends or something. We’re never going to be friends.” “Didn’t he give you a ride home after work last night?” she asked, her voice light. “Gus made him,” I snapped. “And did Gus make him hug you the other day?” “He caught me and gave me a noogie. And it hurt, too. It’s not a hug if it leaves bruises.” “He left bruises?”Megan asked, startled. Shit. I might be able to justify a rumor about him not being able to get it up, but telling her that he’d hurt me for real…yeah, that probably crossed a line. “No,” I admitted. “That was an exaggeration. But he’s still pure evil, so don’t fall for his shit. Or sleep with him. Every time a waitress sleeps with him, she ends up quitting without notice. Then I have to cover their shifts.” Megan nodded, looking a little uncomfortable. “Okay, then… Um, I think I’ll go check the bathrooms. Make sure there’s no ugly surprises before things start getting busy.” “Great idea,” I told her, and she scuttled off. Then I reached for a washcloth because I had lemon juice to clean up. Then I’d have to go back over there and check on them. See if they wanted more… Eli would, I could already tell. Not because he was big on drinking, though. He just wouldn’t be able to resist an opportunity to order me around.

Review and Except Tour for ROME’S CHANCE by Joanna Wylde!

From New York Times Bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes ROME’S CHANCE, a new novella in her Reapers MC series, brought to you by 1,001 Dark Nights! Be sure to grab your copy today!

About ROME’S CHANCE: From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Joanna Wylde comes a new story in her Reapers MC series…

Rome McGuire knew he was in trouble the first time he saw her.

She was sweet and pretty and just about perfect in every way. She was also too young and innocent for the Reapers Motorcycle Club. He did the right thing, and walked away.

The second time, he couldn’t resist tasting her.

Gorgeous and smart, fun and full of wonder, she jumped on his bike and would’ve followed him anywhere. Still, she deserved a shot at happiness somewhere bigger and better than a town like Hallies Falls. Walking away wasn’t so easy that time, but her family needed her and he had a job to do.

When she came around a third time, he’d had enough. Randi Whittaker had been given two chances to escape, and now it was time for Rome to take his.

This time, the only way Randi would be leaving Hallies Falls was on the back of Rome’s bike.

EXCERPT:

I couldn’t figure out what’d happened.
One minute I’d been having one of the most exciting sexual experiences of my life. The next my ribs were being crushed as Rome slammed into me. Then I was on my feet, trying to catch my breath, as people shouted all around us. The music had stopped. Thankfully, Rome’s big body formed a barrier between me and the rest of the room, because everyone else in the place had lost their minds.
For an instant, I thought maybe I’d be safe behind him. Then some guy in a cowboy hat launched toward us, fists flying. I don’t know what I expected, maybe that Rome would start punching him—you know, like they always do in movies—but instead he ducked, then started dragging me toward the bar. More shouting. I saw a man lift a chair and slam it down against another guy’s back from behind. The poor bastard went down hard, so hard that his head literally bounced on the floor. He couldn’t even get his hands up in time to break the fall.
This definitely wasn’t a movie.
I needed to get the hell out of here. Now.
Rome didn’t need to drag me any more—adrenaline had set in and sexy times were forgotten. My instincts said to run, and I wasn’t going to argue. Running wasn’t really possible, though, what with people and bottles and tables flying all around us.
It felt like it took an hour just to get across the room, although it was probably just a few seconds. Nothing touched me. Every other step, he was pushing me to the side, standing over me, or slamming into someone to get them out of the way until we reached an opening at the far end of the bar. He shoved me down behind it, toward a group of women huddling under the safety of the ledge.
“Stay here and keep your head down!” he said, catching my eyes to make sure I heard him. “I’ll be back soon.”
With that, he left to wade back into the crowd.

I am a big fan of Joanna Wylde and her Reaper MC series. This is book 6.6 in the series and is one of my favourite MC series of all time. As with all the previous books in this series, Rome’s Chance was grittyrealistic and extremely well written.
This is Rome McGuire and Randi Whittaker’s story. Every time I read a Reaper MC book, I fall more in love with Ms.Wylde’s books. Her characters are always strong, the women feisty and the men so darn Alpha it almost hurts. They love hard, play hard and there is just something about these men and their women that ticks all the boxes for
Rome is a typical Reaper MC, gritty, raw and swoon worthy. When Rome re connects with Randi when she returns to Hallies Falls, he sets his sights on her, regardless of how Randi feels.
There was drama, suspense, hot and heavy scenes and so much build up that I was totally engrossed from the start. This is one heck of a roller coaster read to be honest and I found myself both happy and sad on occasion.
My only issue was that this book was not long enough, I never want a Reapers MC story to end and this one is a novella so I just wanted more.

The Reaper’s MC will always hold a special place in my heart as they were my very first MC series. I love coming back to them and I cannot wait for the next bookin the series.

Reapers MC is one of my all time favourite motorcycle series and I didn’t realise how much I missed the gang until I picked up Rome’s Chance, this may be a quick read but that doesn’t mean it’s not jam packed with action. I though no one could come close to my love for Horse and Picnic boy was I wrong, Rome McGuire has not only come close he has taken over as my favourite Reaper.
Randi and Rome have a history and a chance meeting rekindles the flame but will the timing be right this time around, Rome knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to prove to Randi they belong together but can they get past the past.
I loved being back in the Reapers fold, I love the characters and I love the strength and depth Joanna Wilde’s alpha males have. This book has it all,it’s hot and at times it’s romantic but most of all it has characters you can’t help falling in love with, great job Joanna Wilde.

About SHADE’S LADY:

New York Times bestselling author Joanna Wylde returns to the world of the Reapers Motorcycle Club…

Looking back, none of this would’ve happened if I hadn’t dropped my phone in the toilet. I mean, I could’ve walked away from him if I’d had it with me.

Or maybe not.

Maybe it was all over the first time he saw me, and he would’ve found another way. Probably—if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that Shade always gets what he wants, and apparently he wanted me.

Right from the first.

Excerpt:

“You get to travel,” I told him, frustrated. “In a few weeks or a month or whatever you’ll leave this place. You’ll go see things and do things, and for some reason you seem to have enough money to live on without taking a shitty job waiting tables.”

Shade snorted. “Mandy, you don’t wanna know how I get my money.”

“Let me guess—it’s bad?” I asked, rolling my eyes. “I’m starting to think I’m genetically incapable of being attracted to a good guy. No offense.”

“None taken,” he replied, offering a slow smile. “I’m not a good man. But I’m not a man who’ll drag you down into the dirt, either. Or let you get caught up in club business. The Reapers have been around for a long time and we’re real good at taking care of our people. I’m not sayin’ I’ll never need a getaway car, but if I do, I sure as shit won’t trick my woman into driving it.”

God, how was he so sexy when he was saying such terrible things? And that knowing, naughty look in his eyes...it wasn’t fair.

“This is crazy,” I said, trying hard not to smile back at him. “I need to get to work and you need to go do whatever it is that you do that may or may not involve getaway cars"

Shade's Lady is book 6.5 in The Reapers MC series and just when you think it can't get any better, Joanna Wylde gives us another couple that you can't help falling in love with, and for me this novella is why I love this series so much.
Shade is everything you expect from the president of the Reapers MC, he is a hot alpha male who knows what he wants and what he wants he gets, he has wanted Mandy from  the moment he saw her in the bar where she works bussing tables. The Reapers are feared but not by Mandy she does not cave like the women he is used too, who knows maybe that's the attraction.
Mandy wants to stand on her own two feet, she doesn't need a man because she just walked away from a disastrous relationship and the last thing she needs is a bossy biker or is it....
This book has it all, just the right amount of twists and turns and enough humour to keep you turning the pages and let's not forget some seriously hot steamy sex. After reading this novella I realised just how much I missed these hot alphas from The Reapers MC, time for a re Read I think. Can't wait for more in this series.

I am a big fan of Joanna Wylde and her Reaper MC series. This is book 6.5 in the series and is one of my favourite MC series of all time. It seems like forever since I visited their world, and now having finished this story I desperately want more, NOW !

Shade always does what needs to be done for his fellow MC brothers, after all, he is the youngest National President that the club has ever had. He is one tough sob and gets what and whom he wants, when he wants it and is not used to the world no being said to him. All that changes when he sets eyes on Mandy, a waitress at The Pit where the MC frequents and she is equally as determined to avoid the sexy, hot and broody biker.

Mandy has never had any luck with men, in fact she is certain that she and her sister Hannah are fated to chose the wrong men. I love the relationship Mandy, her sister and nieces have; it brought a little softness to the book and in no way detracted from the gritty, raw and realistic world of the Reapers MC.

I really loved Shade and Mandy together, the chemistry between them was smoking hot and these two, when they  connected sizzled. From the very beginning, Shade's Lady was an emotional roller coaster for so many characters. I loved the protectiveness that Mandy brought out in Shade, her willingness to give up everything for her sister and her family was gutsy.

This was a well written story that has a swoon worthy hero and a feisty and independent heroine. With the way the story ended (and no I won't give it away) I hope that this is not the last we hear of Shade and Mandy. The Reaper’s MC will always hold a special place in my heart as they were my very first MC series. I love coming back to them and I cannot wait for the next book by Joanna Wylde.

During 2012 she got her first Kindle reader as a gift and discovered the indie writing revolution taking place online. Not long afterward she started cutting back her client list to work on Reaper’s Property, her breakout book. It was published in January 2013, marking the beginning of a new career writing fiction. Joanna lives in the mountains of northern Idaho with her family. Visit Joanna Wylde’s website and follow her on:
