A Santini In Love
Book 6

Genre: Military Romance/Romantic Suspense

Blurb:

She was the last woman standing.

Madison Baker was born and bred to be a Marine. When a roadside bomb ends her first deployment—not to mention her career—she is left to pick up the pieces of what is left of her life. She’s returned to Oceanside to regroup and move on. It doesn’t mean she’s ready for a relationship, even if a particular Santini has different plans.

Love happens when you least expect it.

When he first met Madison back at the Academy, Dante Santini is sure the woman was put on the earth to irritate him. She’s prickly and mouthy. She always thinks she’s right. Worse—she almost always is. She hasn’t really changed over the years. One disagreement ends up with them lip locked and very nearly falling into bed, Dante discovers he might need to rethink his first impression.

When Madison is convinced she witnesses a murder, the only person who believes her is Dante. Together, they sift through the meager evidence, trying to unearth the secrets someone is trying to hide. Neither one of them expecting it would draw them closer—or that a killer is hell bent on making sure those secrets stay buried.

Falling for a Santini
Book 7
Genre: Military Romance/Romantic Suspense

A crush that turned into love.
Being the only girl in a family with five Santini brothers was never easy on Elena Santini. She always tried to be faster and smarter to make sure they always took her seriously. They were always trying to tell her what to do, and worse, who she could date. That’s why falling for her oldest brother’s best friend wasn’t smart especially when he treats her like a sister. That is, until she gets him alone in her apartment one night.
One night in Heaven.
NCIS agent Jethro Thomas, known to everyone as JT, has always played it smart. When his admiration turned to attraction a few years ago, he started avoiding Elena. A guy wasn’t supposed to have those kinds of thoughts about his best friend’s little sister. After returning from an undercover assignment, and about to go on another one, he can’t seem to resist the temptation. One night with her and he knows he’s lost, but he has a job to do.
A changed man.
JT returns from the assignment with a few more scars, both physical and emotional–but he survived for one reason. He’s ready to start a new life with Elena, but a dark cloud hangs over the new love. One Night with a Santini
Book 8
Genre: Military Romance

He was searching for something that was missing from his life.

Brando Santini is headed to New Orleans to blow off some steam with a few of his buddies. The respite from his life as a Marine doesn’t really seem to do the trick until he runs into his college crush, Kaitlin Fitzpatrick. After a little dancing and a few drinks, they end up in bed together and Brando knows she’s the one for him.

One night will never be enough.
Kaitlin never forgot Brando. She never would have thought the sexy nerd would have remembered her. More than that, she definitely didn’t expect he would be interested in seducing her. Their time in New Orleans is intense but much too short. The memories of his lovemaking leave her counting the days until she sees him again.
A complication neither of them expected.
By the time Brando arrives in Maryland, Kaitlin suspects that their one night together has left them with more than memories. When Brando insists on marriage, she refuses on the grounds he doesn’t love her. But what Kaitlin doesn’t understand is that when a Santini wants to prove his love, nothing will stand in his way—not her five brothers, his own annoying family, or even the woman he adores.

4.5 Star Review The Santinis Collection, Volume Two by Melissa Schroeder
A Santini In Love:
Book 6 in the series and is the story of Madison Baker and Dante Santini. Opposites do attract and when they find each other and allow their attraction to come out to play then watch out; sparks are going to fly.
Madison is a marine, a feisty, take no prisoners woman who views life seriously who happens to be dealing with PTSD. Dante on the other hand views life differently. He is more playful and doesn’t take life as seriously.
Madison and Dante have a history and when through circumstance they meet again, it is obvious that the mutual attraction they feel is still there.
When danger puts Madison in jeopardy, it is Dante she knows she can count on. In fact he just about melted my heart; he believed in her when she didn’t believe in herself.
There is also mystery and intrigue throughout this book and as with the previous books in the series; I read this one in one read. I couldn’t put it down.
Falling for A Santini:
Bool 7 in the series and is the story of Elena Santini, the only girl, who has five Santini brothers to contend with. It will take an awfully brave man to be prepared to fight for her and falling for her oldest brother’s best friend NCIS agent Jethro Thomas, known to everyone as JT only opens up a can of worms she wasn’t quite expecting.
JT has had feelings for Elena for quite some time and he avoids her knowing full well he shouldn’t have these kinds of feelings for his best friends’ sister. However, temptation is there and after only one night he knows her is a goner.
JT has a job to do and when he returns, he is a changed man. What happens when his past comes back to threaten his future? Will Elena and JT survive the danger that surrounds them?
As with all these books the writing was excellent, no-one tells a military tale like Ms Schroder and I cannot wait to read more in the series.
One Night with a Santini :
Book 8 in the series and is the story of Brando Santini and Kaitlin Fitzpatrick.  A chance encounter whilst both are in New Orleans brings these two college friends together again. Ten years has passed and what neither of them knows is that they each were attracted to the other and in fact still are.
As with all the other books in the series, I couldn’t put this one down and read it in a day. I have to say, if I weren’t already married I would marry a Santini in a heartbeat. I love their loyalty, commitment, integrity, sexiness - everything about them.
Brando has always compared the ladies he dated to Kaitlin even though when he knew her she was engaged to marry another. He hasn’t kept up with her since he didn’t want to know about her marriage and life. Unbelievably, he finds out that she didn’t marry her fiancĂ© and is in fact free.  A dinner invitation is accepted, followed by a night of passion. Brando knows that Kaitlin is ‘the one” but he knows if he tells her this, she will run. She has been hurt by previous relationships and as far as she is concerned, their night of passion is a one night stand.
Brando returns to the area and accepts Kaitlin’s offer to stay whilst house hunting. Of course her brother’s hit the roof. Complications soon arise which changes the course of Brando and Kaitlin’s lives. I love how protective they are initially and have to say that when Brando has a bit too much to drink whilst talking to 3 of her brothers it made me laugh. Soldier boy vs I am a marine!
There is humour throughout. I have to say I love that these very strong men, seem to quake when the Santini women come into play. Be it Brando’s mother or his Aunt Joey, the matriarch of the Santini family. Add in Kaitlin’s extremely over protective brothers and there is sure to be mayhem. I love how Melissa Schroeder weaves such a strong, yet sexy story with the love, loyalty and commitment of family.
Sadly the book had to end. I only wish that they were longer. I love this series and cannot wait for the next instalment.

Bio

From an early age, Melissa loved to read. First, it was the books her mother read to her including her two favorites, Winnie the Pooh and the Beatrix Potter books. She cut her preteen teeth on Trixie Belden and read and reviewed To Kill a Mockingbird in middle school. It wasn’t until she was in college that she tried to write her first stories, which were full of angst and pain, and really not that fun to read or write. After trying several different genres, she found romance in a Linda Howard book.

Since the publication of her first book in 2004, Melissa has had close to sixty romances published. She writes in genres from historical suspense to modern day erotic romance to futuristics and paranormals. Included in those releases is the bestselling Harmless series. In 2011, Melissa branched out into self-publishing with A Little Harmless Submission and the popular military spinoff, Infatuation: A Little Harmless Military Romance. Along the way she has garnered an epic nomination, a multitude of reviewer’s recommended reads, over five Capa nods from TRS, thirteen nominations for AAD Bookies, and made the USA Today bestseller list in 2013 with The Santinis.

Since she spent her childhood as a military brat, Melissa swore never to marry military. But, as we all know, Fate has her way with mortals. After twenty years as an AF spouse, she and husband, a long with their brats, both human and canine, are now happy they get to pick where they live. She lives in the middle of wine and horse country in Virginia and shops for million dollar homes in Hawaii.

Wade knows exactly what he wants and just how to get it. He’s pulling out the stops because he’s sure India’s the woman for him and his best friend and business partner, Marc Jasper. Marc isn’t too sure and tries to keep India at arm’s length.

When a threat to India has her in constant contact with Marc, the lure of the curvy older woman is too much to ignore. But when both men raise the stakes and ask for more than just a fling, will India play it safe to protect her heart, or will she take another chance on love?

4.5 Star
Melissa Schroeder is an author I admire, having read several of her previous releases. This is book 1 of the new Texas Temptations series and I was excited to read.
I wasn’t disappointed. This is the story of a slightly older woman (by 10 years) and 2 men. India Singer has started a catering business and she is hired by Marc and Wade who own a security company, to cater their event.
The attraction between the three of them sparks from their first meeting, but only one is interested in pursuing it.
Wade is immediately attracted to India, and believes she would be perfect for him and Marc. On the other hand, Marc wants to keep his distance. Not to mention India herself who doesn’t have the time or want to get involved.
When trouble strikes, India has no alternative but to spend time with Wade and Marc. I enjoyed how these characters eventually resolved their feelings, not least of which was entering into a ménage relationship and how it might impact on the burgeoning business.
There was humor, angst, some hot sexy romance and overall Conquering India was a really enjoyable read although not a very long book.
I am looking forward to reading more in the series.

Born to an Air Force family at an Army hospital Melissa has always been a little bit screwy. She was further warped by her years of watching Monty Python and her strange family. Her love of romance novels developed after accidentally picking up a Linda Howard book. After becoming hooked, she read close to 300 novels in one year, deciding that romance was her true calling instead of the literary short stories and suspenses she had been writing. She has had over 25 short stories, novellas and novels published in four years with seven different publishers.
Being a brat she swore never to marry military. Alas, fate always has her way with mortals. She is married to an AF major with two brats of their own. They live wherever the military sticks them which for the first time in years is a place where THE BUGS DIE!"

Review by Maimeo's Angels: Hostile Desires by Melissa Schroeder

As a cold case heats up, two former adversaries discover there is a thin line between love and hate.

TASK FORCE HAWAII, BOOK TWO

Seven years ago, Dr. Elle Middleton’s world crashed and burned. She has rebuilt her life and found comfort in her work as the medical examiner for TFH. When a new case leads to a cold case, she is beyond excited for the challenge, until she finds out the one man she wants to avoid is her partner on the case.

Graeme McGregor isn’t any happier with the assignment. The doctor gets under his skin in more ways than one. He’s avoided her and his attraction by keeping his distance from her, but working with her has made it impossible to resist taking a little taste.
One kiss leads to another…then to a full blown affair. But even as they draw closer to each other, secrets from that long ago murder rise to the surface. The killer’s determination to stay free leads to a dangerous confrontation that puts both of their lives in peril and could leave TFH in shambles.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Melissa Schroeder is an automatic purchase for me and I was extremely excited to see if who was next in the Task Force Hawaii series. The Task Force Hawaii team works on a variety of cases in conjunction with local, state and federal agencies.

Over the last 12 months I have found myself gravitating to the romantic suspense genre and in my humble opinion Melissa Schroeder is one of the best I have rea. She brings the stories to life so well and he writing is of an extremely high standard.

I thoroughly enjoyed Elle and Graeme’s story. In the first book in the series, Seductive Reasoning, they were often found to be sniping at each other. Now they need to work together to solve a cold case and ensure that a killer is brought to justice.

Working together brings feelings to the service that neither of them wants to admit too or even act on. It’s a fine line between love and hate.

There are so many twists and turns to this book that I was riveted and stayed up late in the night. I couldn’t put it down.

This book is exactly what I have come to expect from Melissa Schroeder, well written and thoroughly enjoyable. I anxiously await the next book in the Task Force Hawaii series.

If you are looking for a book that is hot, spicy, romantic and suspenseful, then look no further.

Congratulations Ms. Schroeder, you have another winner on your hands.

Review by Maimeo's Angels: Seductive Reasoning by Melissa Schroeder

Join Melissa Schroeder for a new Harmless spinoff series filled with suspense, hot men, and breathtaking romance.

TASK FORCE HAWAII

Even paradise has a dark side…

Working with local, state, and federal agencies, the men and women of TASK FORCE HAWAII work on cases ranging from bank heists to terrorism. A diverse team filled with ex-military, law enforcement, medical, and technical support, they are Hawaii’s last defense against the worst criminals.

SEDUCTIVE REASONING

Resisting her might just kill him.

Former Army Special Forces Officer Martin “Del” Delano has enough on his hands chasing a serial killer and heading up TASK FORCE HAWAII. He definitely doesn’t need the distraction of Emma Mitchell. From the moment they meet, she knocks him off his feet, literally. Unfortunately, she’s the best person to have on the team to make the connections to help them catch their killer.

A temptation she can’t ignore.

For Emma, it’s hard to ignore the lure of a man like him. Tats, muscles and his Harley cause her to have more than a few fantasies about Del. He’d never be interested in a geek like her, but she can’t resist toying with him. When she pushes the teasing too far, she ends up in his bed. She convinces herself she can handle it until the moment he steals her heart.

A killer obsessed.

Del can’t help falling for the quirky genius. She’s smart, funny and there’s a sweet vulnerable side to her that only he can see. As Emma gets more involved with the investigation, she becomes the target of the psychopath. When the danger escalates, Del promises to do anything to save the woman who not only captured his heart but also his soul.

Melissa Schroeder is an automatic purchase for me and I was extremely excited to find out that she has created a new Harmless spin off series.
The Task Force Hawaii team works on a variety of cases in conjunction with local, state and federal agencies.
The first book in the series is all about Martin “Del” Delano, a former Army Special Forces Officer, who heads up the Task Force Hawaii team. He and his team are on the hunt for a serial killer and Emma Mitchell is the genius who is contracted to the team to assist them.
Their attraction is mutual, despite Del’s best efforts to ignore his feelings and they eventually give in to their desires.  Del and Emma’s chemistry is off the charts; sizzling and hot.
However, no one counted on the serial killer fixating and targeting Emma. Will Del and his team be able to save Emma in time?
This book is in the romantic suspense genre and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know these
characters.  With fast paced action and a thrilling story line you cannot help but be drawn into the world created by Melissa Schroeder.
I was equally enthralled with the supporting cast of characters and cannot wait to read their stories as I was with Del and Emma.
This book is exactly what I have come to expect from Melissa Schroeder, well written and thoroughly enjoyable. I anxiously await the next book in the Task Force Hawaii series.

Congratulations Ms. Schroeder, you have a winning series on your hands and I highly recommend both you and this book.

Born to an Air Force family at an Army hospital, USA TODAY Bestselling author Melissa Schroeder has always been a little bit screwy. From then on, she was hooked. She read close to 300 novels in one year and decided romance was her true calling instead of the literary short stories and suspense stories she had been writing. After many attempts, she realized that romantic comedy, or at least romance with a comedic edge, was where she was destined to be.

Influences in her writing come from Nora Roberts, Jenny Crusie, Susan Andersen, Amanda Quick, Jayne Anne Krentz, Julia Quinn, Christina Dodd, and Lori Foster. Since her first release in 2004, Melissa has written close to thirty short stories, novellas and novels released with seven different publishers in a variety of genres and time periods. In her spare time, she reads, complains about bugs, travels, cooks, reads some more, watches her DVD collections of Arrested Development and Seinfeld, and tries to convince her family that she truly is a delicate genius. She has yet to achieve her last goal.
She has always believed that romance and humor go hand in hand. Love can conquer all and as Mark Twain said, "Against the assault of laughter, nothing can stand." Combining the two, she hopes she gives her readers a thrilling love story, filled with chuckles along the way, and a happily ever after.

Pre-Release, Review by Maimeo's Angels & Giveaway: A Santini Takes A Fall by Melissa Schroeder

Synoposis:

A man avoiding his destiny.
Anthony Santini is happy with life. The former Marine is now working a dream job for NCIS in a
dream location: Hawaii. He's watched his cousins and now his siblings fall into the Santini Curse and
that is not for him. Not yet. He's happy to play the field and enjoy life. It still doesn't stop his cousin's
wife from trying to fix him up.
A woman avoiding love.
Lalani Hawkins has had enough heartache to last a lifetime. The professional dancer isn't looking for
love and she definitely doesn't need a man like Santini in her life. After the worst blind date in
history, she thinks she'll never see him again.
For two people who want to avoid each other, Lalani and Anthony can't seem to achieve that. Each
time they meet, Lalani falls a little more under the Santini spell, and for Anthony, he is drawn to the
vivacious dancer. But when Anthony senses her hesitation to commit, he starts to formulate a plan.
Because when a Santini man decides he's found his mate, there is no stopping him.

5.0 Star

I received this book for an honest review.

What do you get when a former marine and now an NCIS special agent meets an ex ballerina now teaching ballet? One heck of a story. In A Santini Takes The Fall, Anthony Santini is determined to nip his cousin’s wife's matchmaking plans in the bud, before they get out of hand. So much so that he storms up to Lalani Hawkins and tells her that he isn’t interested before they have been introduced. However he meets and gets to know Lalani, despite himself he feels the pull of attraction.
Anthony is enjoying his life and new job in Hawaii, the last thing he wants is a serious relationship or to settle down. Lalani is a woman who avoids any relationships, particularly with Military men and is doing her best to avoid love. Still reeling from the death of her mother 12 months ago, she is slowly coming back to life and now teaches ballet classes and is the best friend of Alana who is married to Anthony’s cousin Marco Santini.
Both Anthony and Lalani feel the pull of attraction but are determined to ignore it. They know they will have to see each other but they both bury their heads in the sand trying to avoid what everyone else can see is inevitable.
When circumstances keep putting them together, Anthony realises that he may have become a victim of the Santini curse. Once a Santini male meets “the one” they will stop at nothing to make them theirs. Although both of them think it would be easier to fight the sizzling attraction that draws them together it is obvious they they will fail.
I haven’t met a Santini I didn’t love. Anthony is no exception. I love the feistiness of Lalani, together they are an explosive couple and I felt as though the pages would combust with the heat from their lovemaking.
I love catching up with the Santinis and seeing another Santini fall under the Santini curse.
This is a family I want to be a member of and Melissa Schroeder writes in such a way that you can’t possible help but wish you belonged to them. This story, as with the others in this series, was well written, hot, romantic and humorous,
If this series is not on your TBR list then I suggest that you get it immediately, you won’t be disappointed.
