young couple in love, studio shot From New York Times bestselling author Katy Regnery comes a brand new series set on Blueberry Lane! The Director and Don Juan is the second of four books about the Philadelphia-based Story sisters who are all on the look-out for love. Heiress Alice Story left her father's company three years ago in a blaze of glory, inviting all of his employees to jump ship and join her, but only one accepted her offer: mail room clerk, Carlos Vega. While Alice spent the next three years getting her own company off the ground, Carlos became her indispensable right-hand man -- executive assistant and office manager, loyal counsel and trusted co-worker. And all the while, they were quietly falling in love with each other. When Alice is offered a lucrative business deal in Puerto Rico, island-born Carlos is the perfect person to accompany her on her trip as translator, but as they travel together from Philadelphia to Santo Domingo to Ponce, two unlikely co-workers will discover that during their three years working together, their feelings for each other have grown far deeper than they ever could have guessed. And though business-minded, proper Alice will try her very best to ignore the longings of her heart, scorching hot, insanely sexy Boricua, Carlos, has no intention of letting her go. ***

Katy Regnery delivers yet another amazing romance.

This time it’s the story of Alice Story and Carlos Vega.

Firstly, I love the Story sisters. They are a group of amazingly strong women, who have fought through the adversity of having a very old fashioned father and practically no mother figure.

Alice was determined to win her father’s affection even though he made it well known that he wished she was a boy from birth. She stood by his side for multiple years and even went to prestigious colleges to ensure her shot at running Story Imports. But this was to no avail as after four years, he still didn’t promote her into a managerial role, stating that she needed to find a man to marry who would run the company for her.

Alice became fed up at this point and made a stand. She bravely stood up on a desk at her father’s offices and basically said that she was going to open up her own beverage import-export company and invited any and all to join her. The only person brave enough to do so was the mail clerk, Carlos.

The love story between Alice and Carlos was long coming and came about as almost a slap in the face to Alice. All of a sudden she found herself in a position to go to the Caribbean with him for a week long business trip and suddenly, these feelings just started popping up out of nowhere. Alice didn’t know what to do and had learned through college that having a relationship with a fellow worker just wouldn’t work.

Their business trip turns out to be the culminating part for their story and I loved how Carlos stood up for himself and wouldn’t back down from his feelings for Alice. Carlos is the definition of suave and is so sweet. Alice is as hard headed as ever but finally sees the joys of someone else taking the reigns for awhile even if it just in romance.

I loved this book as I love all of Katy’s books.

I definitely would recommend this series and this book to all readers.

Spotlight & Review by Sara for Monica James' Forgetting You, Forgetting Me

Forgetting You, Forgetting Me by Monica James

Synopsis:
From international bestselling author Monica James.

My name is Lucy Tucker, and my life…it was perfect.

I worked the dream job. I had the most incredible family and friends. My home, Whispering Willows, a ranch in Montana, was everything I could ever wish for. My adoring fiancé, Samuel Stone, loved me unconditionally.

I had everything a girl could ever want.

But one fateful event shattered my perfect life. It’s unimaginable how simple, ordinary words can change a person’s life forever. For me those words were, “There’s been an accident.

I thought Sam was my forever, but that forever came to a close the day Saxon Stone, Sam’s identical twin brother, came back. Saxon returned to Montana to help save Sam, however, the moment he entered my life, he turned my world upside down. But through chaos I somehow found clarity—clarity of who I was meant to be.

As time progressed, as seasons changed, and as a fire began to burn, I soon realized that Saxon was there for another reason…he was there to help save me.

Three words. Identical. Twin. Brothers.

Oh my goodness was this a brilliant read!

Monica James has delivered another amazing read with Forgetting You Forgetting Me.

The story is based in Montana with Lucy being the heroine and the two heroes, yes I said two, are Sam and Saxon.

It all begins with tragedy on Lucy and Sam’s wedding day, when Sam gets into a car accident and is seriously injured. Because of the severity of his injuries he falls into a coma. The story continues from there when Lucy decides to call Sam’s estranged twin brother, Saxon to donate blood.

What happens from there is one of the greatest stories I’ve read in quite some time. The book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire story. The feels were out of this world. You could feel every character’s emotions through the words on each page.

The only reason this book wasn’t a 5 star is because of the ending! One word – cliffhanger!! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next part of this story.

Aaron Collins is fresh out of the army and back in town to help his father’s failing business. When he runs into Jill at a hotel where she’s attending a single’s mixer, he makes sure she doesn’t make it past his room and into another guy’s arms. I absolutely adored this book!
I loved that the author's writing style is sarcastic and makes the book light hearted. It had me giggling my way through it.
Jill's character is a hoot! She's fiercely strong, independent and has a fantastic sense of humour.
Aaron's character had me swooning throughout the entire book. He is so kind and even through the stress of taking care of his father's failing business, he still finds time to help Jill with her crisis.
The character development throughout this book was excellent! I didn't want to put it down.

I would definitely recommend this.

Blog Tour: CAN'T BUY ME LOVE by Marie Force

CAN'T BUY ME LOVE by Marie Force is the 8th title in the Green Mountain/Butler, Vermont Series
and it is now LIVE!

BLURB:
Mary Larkin was hard at work as the office manager at the Green Mountain Country Store when Cameron Murphy brought her dad, Patrick, in to visit. That fateful first meeting, which took place in You’ll Be Mine, sets the stage for Mary and Patrick’s long-awaited romance in Can’t Buy Me Love

Mary enjoys her predictable, satisfying life in Butler. If it’s a little lacking in excitement, well, that’s okay with her. But after meeting Patrick and getting to know him better at his daughter’s wedding, Mary is intrigued by the well-known, sexy billionaire businessman.

Patrick is equally intrigued. For the first time since he suddenly lost his wife thirty years ago, he has met a woman who makes him feel less lonely, and all he wants is more of his Sweet Mary from Vermont. Flirty phone calls become a weekend away together that takes his relationship with Mary to the next level.

But with six hours and two vastly different lives standing between them, can Mary and Patrick find happily ever after together? And after telling her father to keep his hands and everything else off Mary, will Cameron approve of her father’s new romance?

------

I have been waiting not so patiently for  Mary Larkin and Patrick Murphy's story and all I can say is it was so worth the wait.

Mary and Patrick met when he visited town for his daughter Cameron's wedding.

Mary, the office manager at the Abbott's Green Mountain Country Store is intrigued by the obscenely rich, suave and debonair Patrick; whilst he is just as interested.

Patrick despite being warned off by Cameron, engages in a mild flirtation with Mary, which quickly escalates. Will Cameron approve of their fledgling relationship?

Their worlds are poles apart, not to mention they live 6 hours apart. Mary loves her life in Butler, whilst Patrick spends his time jetting around the world or in high powered business meetings.
Can their relationship survive the distance or the differences?

I read this book in one sitting, I was so entranced and riveted to the story. Marie Force. I love that the Abbotts pop in throughout the book and as always it was great to catch up with them. To be perfectly honest, I would love to be adopted by this family.

It is an extremely well written sweet, sexy and romantic book and I have to say a refreshing change to read about a couple who are older.

Marie Force's characters are often slightly flawed, yet so realistic and relatable that you cannot help but be drawn in. Can't Buy Me Love shows us that you are never to old to find love.

This is one of my most favourite series and one I highly recommend. I cannot wait for more....

Marie Force is one of my go to authors and in this series this was the book I have been waiting for, after all what's not to love about a hot billionaire businessman and a woman who leads a normal life working at the Green Mountain Store.
Mary met Patrick when he was in town for his daughter Cameron's wedding, he was told by Cameron do not touch Mary she is off limits but that didn't stop the hot billionaire. Mary is the office manager at the Green Mountain Store, she is happy with her life in Butler or is she....
Will the sizzling chemistry be enough when you live 6 hours apart, she knows his life in in New York and her life is in Butler, two very different people and two very different lifestyles but as they say "opposites attract" when they start chatting on the phone everyday they start to realise maybe they aren't that different, they both are ready to settle down and a secret weekend away seals the deal but who is going to give up their lifestyle guess you need to read the book to find that out.....
Once again this author gives us characters with depth, a believable storyline and just the right amount of emotion mixed with some hot scenes. Patrick  and Mary's story was the book a lot of readers have been waiting for and it did not disappoint. Great Job Marie, a fantastic addiction to already brilliant series.

Oh how I loved reading Mary and Patrick’s story! Mary has always been one of my favourite characters in the Green Mountain series and I was so happy she finally got her own.

Mary is such a sweet woman who helps look after the Green Mountain Country Store in Butler, Vermont. Throughout her life, she has always concentrated on her life rather than her love life.

Patrick is a billionaire who owns multiple hotels all over the world and is Cameron’s father. He isn’t your typical billionaire who is full of himself. This man is all class! He’s charismatic and so loving he just made me swoon throughout this entire book. I love the way he looks after Mary and spoils her when he can’t be with her all the time. He is very determined to have Mary in his life and takes it upon himself to convince her that he is the one she has been waiting for.

This book had me melting all the way through! Cannot recommend this book and the entire Green Mountain/Butler, Vermont series enough!
