Just One Kiss is book 2 in the Very Irresistible Bachelors Series but it can certainly be read as a stand-alone but I’m sure after picking this entertaining romance up you will want to read the previous book.
Ryker Winchester is a man used to getting his own way whether that be in business or his personal life, Heather is the woman about to show him that there’s more to life than power and authority, she’s a single mum with an adorable little girl who steals Ryker’s heart, who would have thought a little girl could bring this man to his knees.....
Heather doesn’t trust easily, she has been hurt before and she certainly won’t let someone close to her daughter if she thinks there us no future so how will she handle this man powering his way into their life’s .......guess you need to read the book to find that out.
This book ticked all my boxes, I loved Ryker and Heather, I laughed at the one liners only an adorable child could deliver, I swooned and I signed and I didn’t want this story to come to an end.
Just One Kiss will certainly be on my best reads of 2020 so I urge you to one click this must read.
Layla Hagen is a relatively new author to me and why that is I have absolutely no idea. This is the second book in her latest series and can be read as a stand alone although when time permits I will be looking at reading book one in the series.
The writing was strong and the characters were easy to relate to and I found myself totally invested in the story that M. Hagen wove from the first to the last chapter.
This is Ryker Winchester, is a man who is used to wielding authority and power. The woman who is about to pull the rug right out from under him is Heather, a single mum with an adorable little girl, Avery.
This is a book that left me with a smile on my face, it was also steamy and passionate. Ryker ticked the boxes for me, hot as sin and an alpha who set my heart racing. I loved Heather, she is sassy and feisty and not at all afraid to stand up to Ryker whilst Avery, was such a little cutie that she almost stole the book right from under them.
Heather has been badly hurt before and does not give her trust easily, particularly since she will do whatever it takes to ensure Avery is protected.
I loved how the relationship between Ryker and Heather developed until it becomes impossible to resist and builds into a passionate and explosive love; I also enjoyed the banter between them which only added to my enjoyment. The relationship that Ryker built with Avery was swoon worthy and just about melted my heart.
All in all this was one of those books that gave me all the feels, a little gem that ticked the boxes for me.
