blurb One Moment Please-front-size down

That awkward moment when an ER doctor has to inform you that you’re pregnant…with his baby. Three things Lynsey Jones knows about the hot doctor: he’s grouchy, an arrogant jerk, and strangely obsessed with pie. Three things Dr. Josh Richardson knows: he doesn’t talk about his past, he doesn’t do relationships, and the crazy girl in the hospital cafeteria who ate a fistful of French silk pie…is annoyingly irresistible. After a chance meetup at a bar and a heated cab ride together, things come to a head and now instead of hating each other, they’re horizontal in a bed. Three months later, the weird cafeteria stalker who crept out of Josh’s house like a thief in the night, winds up as his patient in the ER after her Tinder date from hell. The doctor is prepared to keep it cool and professional. That is until her bloodwork reveals she’s pregnant. What really throws him for a loop…is the surprise baby…is his.

Dr. Josh Richardson never wanted a family, but Lynsey's about to give him one. And if they have any hope of co-parenting, they need to learn how to co-habituate…and try not to kill or kiss each other in the process. download copy

What to say and will it do One Moment Please justice, well I guess I start with saying how this book made me feel !!!!. One Moment Please ticked all my boxes, at times I laughed out loud and at times I was holding my breath so for me this story is romantic comedy at its best.....
A chance meeting in the hospital cafeteria leads to one night of passion for Josh ( Dr Dick) and Lynsey but she leaves in the middle of the night and now a few months on she finds herself face to face with Dr Dick again in the hospital emergency room.
The last thing Lynsey expects to hear us she is pregnant and to make matters worse the Doc telling her the news is the father........
This story drew me in and it captivated me from the first page to the last line, it’s one of those special stories you never want to end, it has adorable quirky characters who will make you smile with their banter and swoon with their chemistry, the storyline is strong and written superbly, so what’s left for me to say apart from please one click this gem from the Ms Daws who is certainly up there with the best of rom-com authors. Looking forward to what’s next from this very talented author.

Having read the previous books in this series, I couldn’t wait to read One Moment Please which is Lynsey and Josh aka Dr. Dick’s story.

After a chance meeting, followed by a night of intense passion, Lynsey leaves Josh’s house in the middle of the night. Fast forward three months and after the date from hell, Lynsey ends up in the emergency room.

She is even more shocked to discover that she is pregnant, even worse the e.r. doctor who breaks the news to her, is the father.

I was riveted from the first chapter to the last and really didn’t want One Moment Please to end.

Amy Daws writes characters that are captivating, easy to relate too and I easily fell in love with them. It was also great to catch up on previous couples and see what is happening in their lives.

The writing is strong and you cannot help but become totally invested in the story Ms. Daws weaves. This was a great example of RomCom and I firmly believe

The chemistry between Lynsey and Josh was intense and hot. It wouldn’t be an Amy Daws novel without humour and laughter and this just added to my overall enjoyment of the book with numerous snort worthy laugh out loud moments.

There was nothing I didn’t like about this book; I just loved everything about the characters and the story.

Amy Daws delivers yet another wittingly hilarious romantic comedy with her latest release of One Moment Please.

Lynsey Jones is soo close to finishing her thesis for her Masters Degree and the only place that she seems to be able to make the words flow is the hospital cafeteria. She just can’t seem to help noticing this one doctor who always seems to be in foul mood.

Once she finally finishes editing her thesis, the doctor plops his lunch down at her table. She aptly nicknames him Dr. Dick after this encounter due to him thinking that she needs a psychological evaluation because he sees her in the cafeteria all the time.

The story that develops between Dr. Dick AKA Josh Richardson, and Lynsey is one that will have you laughing out loud and gripping your chest with the sorrow and pain that accompanies these two amazing characters.

Amy Daws never fails to deliver an amazing story and she did not fail in this instance. I would highly recommend everyone to read this book!
