Rafe is a second chance at love story that ticked the boxes for me. From the first to the last chapter I was riveted to the story that Sawyer Bennett wove and couldn’t put it down. I knew that Rafe’s story was going to be an emotional one but I had no idea just how much it would get to me.
Rafe and Calliope Ramirez have history and now that he has returned home to look after his dying father, Rafe realises just how much he still cares, in fact he has never given up hope of getting her back. Whilst on the other hand, Calliope has never forgiven Rafe for leaving her behind when he chose to chase his dreams in the NHL.
This was an emotional and at times heartbreaking story that will have you in tears, but is also heartwarming at the same time. I loved how all in Rafe was for Calliope and her support of him as he struggles with his father’s illness was inspiring.
The chemistry between Rafe and Calliope Ramirez is intense and I loved the banter and humour that flowed between them whilst navigating such an emotional time in Rafe’s life.

Rafe is second chance romance at its best and the perfect addition to the Arizona Vengeance Series. Don’t be fooled by this story being a novella because it still packs a mighty punch, it still has characters you will fall for big time for and it will captivate you from the first page to the last line.
Rafe and Calliope have a history and now Rafe is back in his home town to spend time with his dying father he realises just how much he misses the girl he walked away from. Calliope has never forgotten or forgiven that Rafe walked away when he chose the NFL over her will he be able to convince her the timing is right for them to put the past behind them and try again.....
This book ticked all my boxes, I smiled, I cried and fell in love, the chemistry is sizzling and Rafe and Calliope journey is an emotional one but it’s one I’m sure you will all love so please one click this gem.
Rafe’s story is a rather emotional one where he moves back home for his Dad.
What unfolds in this book is a story of love, support, friendship and family! Reconnecting with someone from your past and trying to look to the future all while playing hockey for another team.I loved how he felt, how he opened up and how forgiveness truly helps someone move ahead in life!! How does he react to seeing Calliope so many years later?? I admired her strength and her caring way towards Rafe’s parents. Can these two let the past go?
This was a great addition to the Arizona Vengeance series and a good look into Rafe’s life and how it shaped who he is today!
