Meet Laura Beth:
Laura Beth is your typical Midwestern gal who writes swoony and steamy medical romance born from her career as an RN. When she's not writing about a book boyfriend who falls hard for a sassy nurse, she can be found reading all things romance, gardening, or spending time outdoors with her family.

Sometimes losing everything is the only way to find what matters.
Dr. Holly Carrington has officially hit rock bottom.
When a panic attack strikes in the middle of a hectic ER shift, she’s forced to step away from her prestigious career as a trauma doctor. Broken, exhausted, and more uncertain of herself than ever, she accepts a temporary position at a sleepy small-town clinic – never expecting to find comfort in the arms of a six-foot-tall rancher with a soft smile and filthy mouth.
Grayson Hart is nothing like the men Holly’s used to. With his worn Levi’s and calloused hands, he’s a far cry from the polished city types she once dated. He’s steady where she’s restless. Grounded where she’s been drifting. He’s everything she didn't know she needed.
But as her time in town runs out and reality calls her back, Holly has to make a choice: return to the life she built, the only life she’s ever known, or take a leap into the life she’s only just discovered.
Is this new love enough to bridge the gap between who she was, and who she’s meant to be? Or are some worlds just too far apart?
Worth the Fall is a slow burn, small-town, city girl meets country boy romance. It’ll have you believing in fate, healing, and the courage it takes to choose a life that sets your soul on fire.

I absolutely LOVED this book!
Worth the Fall was the first book that I’ve read by Laura Beth and if all of her books are like this one, SIGN ME UP!
The characters, Grayson and Holly, are so realistic and so well thought through. I fell in love with both characters straight from the start.
Grayson Hart, is not your typical main male character, he has a REALISTIC body, with REALISTIC insecurities! By far, this was my biggest LOVE of this book. The storyline was phenomenal but my love for Grayson stands far above it. He’s a homegrown farmer/rancher who is barrel chested and does NOT have abs. Yes, I said that right, he does not have abs. Nearly every cowboy/ranching romance you read, the cowboy nearly always has a six pack or at least “defined” abs. Grayson, is not like that. He loves his food like his Mama’s fried chicken and macaroni and cheese. As someone who loves comfort food, I am so here for this! Haha! But not just his looks, he is a big SOFTIE. He is so sweet and lovely to everyone he interacts with, unless you mess with someone he loves. Then, all bets are off. I could seriously go on and on about his character.
Holly Carrington is a doctor who works in emergency medicine who suffers from anxiety. On the day when she hits rock bottom and doesn’t know where to go, she quite literally runs into the sweetest, nicest stranger she’s ever met. He makes her feel seen when no one that day did. I love her character and, again, how realistic she is. Her insecurities about her anxiety are REAL. It’s like the author pulls the insecurities that you imagine nearly every doctor would probably have and put them to page. Not every doctor is perfect and how Laura Beth describes Holly’s thought processes and how she processes things was amazing!
Both Holly and Grayson come a long way in this book and seeing their relationship emerge and evolve was truly beautiful. Grayson, is quite literally a true gentleman when their relationship started progressing and he didn’t want to take it too fast. It was like imagining someone slamming on the brakes but in the sweetest way imaginable. How Grayson was there for Holly when she needed someone was beautiful and what a true boyfriend/partner should be like!
Honestly, there is nothing I can complain about in this book. Literally NOTHING. I highly recommend this book to everyone who loves a big ol’ softie of a male character and a strong female main character who still struggles with certain parts of everyday life.
